i never was a fan of reading in my spare time, i play video games instead

i saw this video on chivalry and it really made me want to buy it. if it goes on sale on Steam ill prob pick it up. looks like a game that would be really fun at a lan party with lots of screaming, as shown here:

Right now Chivalry is a game I would only wish upon my enemies to play. Graphics and sound are great. Combat is laggy and... just bad.

I miss waaaay more than i hit other players... with swords and axes. You swear you should have caved their head in, and you missed entirely. Very annoying. It seems more about knowing how to time your hits and guessing where the other player is about to be more than where they are at that moment.

I went through a few months of not playing, but now I am one pretty frequently. That's how I play a lot of games. Until at some point that game just drops off forever.

played the PTR for a while last night just doing PVP. i figure i couldve done some PvE to try and obtain the new crafting materials and recipes, but there's no point since it doesn't carry back to the actual realm after the PTR ends. I'll let everyone else figure out optimal runs to find those things, no reason for me to do the leg work too.

Summary of PVP from what i experienced:

- PVP is wide open right now; there are no rules, restrictions or reductions to player damage, healing, invulnerable skills, proc effects such as stun and fear, etc

- with ^^ said, DPS > All

- typical class setup for anyone is to have some type of crowd control spell if possible and then any single massive dps skill with an invul skill handy for a quick "Oh Sh*t" moment (ie. Monk would cast blinding flash then seven sided strike and the duel is over, theres no need to bother wasting spirit on casting a mantra )

there are a lot more notes i could make, but i'll give blizz the benefit of the doubt that they will be making numerous adjustments. so i don't want to open that can of worms, yet. heh. overall, it's fun for a while though. a 4 person free-for-all does provide amusement, but the duels just end so quickly at the moment.

Just started my 5th character the other day, a wizard. Seems that the first 10 levels or so suck, but once the other skills start becoming available, HOLY ****, that's some fun stuff. It's starting to get nice now.

don't forget about putting a ruby in your helm for the extra +% xp. itll go much faster than you think if you have a decent weapon that can roflstomp everything.

yeah, i had a 900dps wand with 18 lvl reduction on it.. it was a hoot.

when i was leveling my wizard i think i had 360% xp bonus...

yeah, it's very handy. i think there are achievements for completing acts in under an hour as well, so that's something you can short for if you want. i need to re-do a1 and a2 in under an hour so i'll prob burn through that on normal with my dh using vault this weekend. something to do besides a3 runs

Re-gear in the auction house at around lvl 45 with "Reduced level requirement" gear and roll over just about anything with new ilvl60+ gear: Check

I went through 4 levels last night in a little over an hour (the first half of Act 3, Normal), currently at lvl 29.

I'll have to check out Cain's gear, see if it will be better for me vs what I currently have. I'm rolling over most anything right now, so I may even bump up to MP1 or MP2 to take advantage of the EXP and MF bonuses.

Oh and by the way, I love Electrocute and Storm Armor.

Edit: looking at the MP tables, I'll probably bump up to MP5 or MP6 and adjust accordingly.

Welp, it's been long enough in the Ptr I have some thoughts on how 1.0.7 is going to go. First off, Pvp is gonna be bad. And by bad I mean REALLY REALLY REALLY friggin bad. You are going to get two scenarios playing out. People that are godly geared either from playing way too much or paying way too much, they are going to run around dominating Pvp. I guess I already expected that but I don't think anyone was anticipating how geared you really have to be to compete.

Secondly, people are going to troll the **** out of everyone that's uber geared. Currently my buddy's bard with 5k life regen (which is not much at all, some people can put out 10k life regen) doesn't die. And by doesn't die I mean just that, it doesn't die. With 199k life, 780 all res, and 79k dps he just doesn't die and kills measly fast. Playing pu$$y barb style it's kindof stupid how many people he can take. Last we had it up was 12 rounds of 3 demonhunters vs him and his life never really moved.

So you have A. Geared people that are going to $hit all over 99% of people and B. people that are going to troll the hell out of everyone... Ya this game is dead...

On top of all of this they really need to fix stuns. Pretty much every character can perma stun everyone except for the wizard which is getting royally butteffed right now in the Ptr. Blizz has also announced that its looking at nerfing damage for Pvp... I'm not even sure that's going in the right direction.

I just started playing again after letting the game collect e-dust for several months. I don't really care much for PvP. Rather, I have fun playing different characters with my son. He always likes to tell me about the gear and skills he gets.

I haven't even finished Inferno once yet, but I'm getting there slowly. I reached Act 4 recently and have been playing around with different builds. Even though I don't have a ton of crit yet (<30%), I've been messing with a standard CM build using Twister/Explosive Blast. It's been relatively effective, but nowhere near as good as some of these uber-geared players.

The economy just sucks, too. I still buy stuff here and there, holding out for cheap deals that give me decent upgrades. Not gonna buy gold or use the RMAH.

After playing this game for a while with my Barb (although not anywhere near 100) I switched to Hardcore and I have to say it is making the game fun again. Although I haven't died yet it has made being in a battle much more interesting!

i'm still playin; spent some time in the PTR dueling and got bored of that when i realized how unbalanced it was. haven't logged into the PTR since they patched it though and added some damage reduction to classes, i imagine it was for the better and intend to just find out when it releases on the actual realms.

been too busy gettin screwed over by the laggy AH in the meantime... explain this one:

...so bought this finally. I don't use the AH because this game is already easy enough.

had a Hardcore level 21 Monk in Act 2 mp(7)...survived for a while until I went to the Ruins and got destroyed by the monster spawning towers.

Now I have a level 20 Wizard almost in Act 2 at MP(10) not sure if I can farm act 1 until 21.

If I didn't spend all my gold on my monks sword I'd totally snatch that up, friggin beast mode. Should fetch at least 500mil. Grats!

Don't feel too bad white. I've got over 400 hours into this game and have yet to find anything that has sold for more than 15mil. If it wasn't for my friend and I co-oping on gear I'd still be broke as hell.

I sold my complete demonhunter on the RMAH and let the cash sit in the bnet account. Made almost 200 bucks and then used it to fund a couple pieces of my barbs gear. Never put any of my own money in it though.
