What more needs to be said about that car? He lowered it, tada! It looks great and I'm sure the air wasn't easy, but maybe he'll have more to say about it when he does some more work to it.

I digress. His build helped bring to light a lot of interesting facts about the new Jetta platform.

I'm sure he was the only person in the entire world to encounter the ever so bizarre suspension issues of the mk6 chassis.

I have never seen a mk4 on wide RSs, so I appreciate his contribution to the VW community with that one , however it seems like the VWs of today are being saturated with complete garbage parts and getting the unnecessary attention for copying each other with bags and "stance" wheels.

the next question should be, are you shocked that we picked your entry? Maybe put a little more thought into the form but overall the car looks good. I've been waiting to see some modded examples around me but not yet, I think it's a good base platform. Been hovering around the a3-a4 platforms for a while now, would love a newer car.

And besides all your negative comments sure as hell wont bother him, he made it to front page and you're not haha. I think his car looks great, first mk6 Jetta i've seen on air. Props to you man

Oh wow. Front page of vwvortex!! Once someone gets into PVW, then they can interview like a douche. Chances are he use to own a Honda or a mini truck but once his friends bought some old vws, he joined the bandwagon and now thinks he is hot **** for have owned 2 poorly modified jettas.

I know everyone that thinks this car is cool has only owned vws for a couple years, so you don't know what vws use to be like in it's prime, but the vws today, for the most part, are trash. No creativity.

I am sick and tired of the word "Stance" (and variations of said word) and all of you garbage likers on Air thinking because you park low that is stance. Bet half of you don't have the sack to drive a car low on coils.

    Nice drum brakes.

funny how people are so fast to hate/bash..

for those who don't like my car... move along. i was asked to do this and why would i refuse...

secondly, there is zero aftermarket for this car.. so for those bashing that its just a car with air/wheels.. well guess what you are right.. go find me some nice parts to add to my list.

thirdly, im not an ******* like you all make me out to be, nor have i just entered the scene (look at the cars ove owned)

and lastly, those who bash have a complex, and wish they had attention.. nobody cares if you think airride is stupid, nobody thinks your cool because you drive low all the time.. none of this car **** makes you cool. you guys are the problem.

    --

For those who are like me, and enjoy all cars and enjoy seeing the different things people do to them. thanks, you are the reason vortex is great.

PS. short answers are based off the fact that this car has only been on the road for 2k miles, not much to say...

I agree with 98% of this thread... Even my wife read it and said... reps and bags... done. Such a shame. You should have seen my buddy Barry's mk6 gti at wustefest get beat in the show by a bagged mk6 jetta on RML's and that's it. His car was fully built. Such a shame.

A base model w/ 2.slow & drum brakes on cheap(ish) wheels & air with one word answers for questions from the 'builder' is quite a lack luster peice for the main page...

props anyways, Mk6 jettas are to me like Mk5's are to you but nice work none-the-less

I'm not sure that YOU understand what the word stance means. Stance is just how the car sits. A stock height car has stance. A lowered car on air or static has stance. A truck lifted 14" in the air has stance. Everything has stance. Different fitments, lowerings/liftings, etc. all contribute to stance, but the word stance does not define a specific set of rules. Saying stance is not like saying OEM+ or JDM or anything with a specific defined set of "rules". So, for you, learn what stance means and then go on and take some English classes so your posts don't sound like a madlibs book.

    No I understand perfectly.

He used the word "Stanced" to describe the Modification Style. He should have used Stock With Wheels and Air.

was waiting anxiously for the MK6 to hit shores, being a mk4 owner and not liking the mk5 Jetta, this was the best option for an upgrade.
I've never liked the MK VI Jetta in stock form. I compared the V and VI on the showroom floor before choosing the V. You've done well with the VI.

Just upgrade to an independent GLI rear susp and call it done. Solid beams are for old Corrados like mine.

Exactly, he did the work "himself". Many people with these opinions have never done anything themselves.
