A base model w/ 2.slow & drum brakes on cheap(ish) wheels & air with one word answers for questions from the 'builder' is quite a lack luster peice for the main page...

No I understand perfectly.
He used the word "Stanced" to describe the Modification Style. He should have used Stock With Wheels and Air.
I've never liked the MK VI Jetta in stock form. I compared the V and VI on the showroom floor before choosing the V. You've done well with the VI.was waiting anxiously for the MK6 to hit shores, being a mk4 owner and not liking the mk5 Jetta, this was the best option for an upgrade.
Just upgrade to an independent GLI rear susp and call it done. Solid beams are for old Corrados like mine.

Wow, I really cant believe how many haters there are out there. Props to you man for getting an Autobiography in a matter of 2 months. Car looks beautiful low.
Some people cant seem to understand that you just bought the car, and will be doing more work as time goes.
I guess haters ganna hate.
The theme is taking a brand new car and blowing money on it to make it look broken. Comments about the car are not about its foolishness, but instead complain that the car and article are boring. This produces responses that the people who wrote the comments are haters. I don't hate the car, I feel sorry for it. Call me a hater if you want. But I don't think those who were bored were expressing hate. But calling people names like haters, rather then addressing their points, is an admission they are correct and you are the hater.
If no one modified a car when they got it then how would cars ever stand out? You get a car to make it your own, no matter how new or old. It's their choice as the owner of the vehicle. And they do it because is what they want. Everyone has their own vision of what they want their car to look like, not all of us can be content with a stock car. That's why we modify, to match our vision of the car. Call it broken or stupid, but in the end you're not the driver of the car, so why doesn't it matter to people so much that they have to disrespect the owner of the car....
Gosh people are harsh. Blame the mod who picked the car if you don't like the choice, not the owner. I'm not a fan of the "bagged" look or smallish dark wheels either (or Jetta's in general) but it's at least clean, except for the stickers on the car, makes it look like a kids car, no offense.
