Got the blue crap cleaned off the lettering and took off the beauty rings, gonna work on a body lift now (just an inch or so) and the light bar. Rack bars getting repainted black, the silver just peeled off. Car is getting a full detail and clay barred on Friday.

Lovin' what you've done with the car! I personally think it looks better with the beauty rings on though, there's so much dark going on with your car, it helped to break everything up a bit. Either way, its freakin awesome! keep up the good work

Not much in the way of updates, but got a set of black dual rounds heading my way. Thought they would kinda match the theme.

Roof rack is off the car, not sure I'm gonna put it back on the car other than when I put the fishing tube on top. Deciding if I still want to try to get a brush guard made. Decisions

So I didn't know if the dual rounds my friend was giving me were hellas or knock-offs. He drove the his GTI over that they are currently installed. This little tag caught my eye-

nice man ABT's are usually the ones that most people here consider the best of the dual rounds.

Do you have any pics of where you put the switch for the big Hellas? Did you hide it anywhere?

Found this thread on an Israeli VW Forum, the photos put me in mind of your build.

    http://www.autosport.co.il/viewtopic...c53d379136d1a5

The text is Hebrew, but really, it's all about the pics, especially the ones a little ways down. The spare tire setup is great.

VW made a Golf Country edition based on the MKII Golf with a Syncro drivetrain and a lifted frame. They were not available in the US market, but that's what that is. I can't read Hebrew, but it looks relatively stock, too.

More pics of some pretty well restored Country's in here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...y-daily-driver

The Hebrew under the set of three pictures describes tells the story of the poster leaving a note on the windshield seeking to buy the car, the coincidence of the owner coming back to the car as the poster was placing the note, and the owner's refusal to sell. And yes, it is stock.

    Getting some motivation again!

Got a couple things in the worx. Finally ran into an early mk3 in the junkyards and got a switch I've been looking for to complete the AC system(had a newer switch but that's just not right! ).

Finally nailed down what I'm gonna do with the ABT Dual rounds I got, probably gonna hack some people off but that goes with my build

Commute is gonna be shorter so it's getting the AT tires back on .

    More to come
