I understand what you are saying, but at the same time a competitive bicycle is not what I wanted. I wanted to build up some ridiculous looking bike that is above all fun to ride.
I won't be racing with it down some mountains, I will be cruising around a suburban neighbourhood jumping off curbs.

The bike was ok, heck I won plenty of races on it, but I was racing against other 60 lb sleds.

I do have to say that your geometry is waaay off on that bike, you can do some real damage stressing the shock mounts and head tube like you are. If you look at the old Karpeils etc they were built around the travel, whereas the specialized you have is not.

I am not trying to hate, just want you to not lose any teeth! I did that too on my Super 8!!!
haha I am a little sketched out about the geometry but at the same time I won't be doing any roof drops on it either (I will be wearing a fullface at all times just in case though)

So you wanted a bike built far out of spec in a manner that raises questionable concern to the strength of the frame, with 10" of travel to jump curbs and stairs that looks ridiculous. Am I following?

You basically turned a corolla into a baja truck to drive to the mall.

Willing to sell it (if it is a 26")????
I just got duped by some kid on pinkbike saying he had a 3.0.
It showed up today and it is only a 2.7 and completely trashed (he told me it was only ridden 3 times)

I just checked, it is a Gazz baby - 26x2.6

I have some Spec. tires that measure 3" lug to lug, but they definitely are not as nostalgic as Gazzis.

You could buy some Arrow tires - they still make fatties (I think). They were great too.

I had actually contacted Arrow because their website still showed a 26x3.0 as an available tire size. But I was told that none were in stock and they were looking for a manufacturer to do the 3.0 tire size.

However I ended up contacting Duro, and they ended up having 26x3.0 still around so I ended up purchasing two directly from them for a pretty amazing price.
So big thanks to Duro for that one

And another box of parts should arrive from Chain Reaction this week! (brakes/brake lines/rear hub/etc.)

I hated the weird tribal flames on the rear triangle so I covered them and the paint chips with some stickers!

Just waiting on a package from Jenson and Chainreaction then I can start building this thing up.

However my chain reaction package came and my last one needed should be here by Thursday then I will have EVERYTHING I need finally.
Once it comes I shall get pictures up of the built front wheel and all the parts that are going onto this thing.

Getting mighty anxious to get this bike built up and be able to ride it.
Still another 2.5 - 3 months before the snow is melted

Once it is built I will christin it by dropping off this (only about 5 feet high or so)

and some other huck bikes for good measure:

Got a "rolling chassis" going now:

I couldn't be happier with how it came out. I am extremely glad I didn't listen to all the people telling me to just build up a used Giant Glory or a Demo or something.

Sadly I still have to wait another two months or so until it is bike weather out

if all you want to do is ride around and jump curbs and such, as you said, then who gives a crap about some snow. i think that bike has the clearance to handle it... bundle up and go have fun.

    Poor big hit

this takes me way back, unfortunately bikes like this never looked cool in my mind. In Quebec we were all about the Balfa BB7!

It has been freakishly nice out for the middle of March so I took it out today and it was amazing!
It may be the funnest bike I have ever ridden.

That picture reminds me, I need to find a super monster T!
I like the forks I have but they leak like crazy and are just too small.

I will get some nice HD footage of me riding off some stuff on this thing once finals are all wrapped up.
