I posted a pic of my car in the snow if i wanted to show off theres other cars much suited for that. but im sure old stanced out broken down vws is much more suited in the snow in this forum..lol.

ANYWAY... back on topic. Skied Stevens yesterday and it was ok. Backside had some areas where is was soft, but you really had to seek it out. We still need 12+ inches to start covering up the rock hard blue moguls.

Anyone hit up Stevens yesterday? I had a blast and even stayed late for the fresh snow that was falling. To bad the freezing level is going way up.

Just because it hasnt come yet does not mean it will not...it is very typical that december and january are dry months for snow. Also if you think back to the last 5+ years we always get the most snow in february and march. Just because its not dumping huge amounts of snow, does not mean its not a la nina winter

Ill tell everyone the same thing i told you all last year...just wait till mid feb and make sure your pow legs are ready!

I hope so. Kind of depressing over here with no snow. Though we did have maybe an inch come down on 12/24 so we could technically call it a white Christmas at least.

Last year we got our big snow early and then it gradually tapered off... maybe this year will be the reverse.

Hard to say what is gonna happen in spokane, but we have had a decent winter so far. The pass has held a steady base since early december and we have been in full operation since before christmas. We just hiked blewett pass and the coverage there was super low, that was after a basically dry christmas up there. so that area has seen at least a good foot + in the last week

Suppose to be moving into a more active colder weather so we will see what that brings!

what happened to all the snow? back in November they forecasted this was going to be the worst snow storm ever. we were supposed to get dumped on with snow. i was really looking forward to hitting the mountain to play in the snow next month.

took a measurement with a yard stick. 13" of snow in 24 hours down here in Lacey/Olympia.

The MkV is in the garage until this stuff is gone.

I love having a Touareg in this weather, though. I pulled a wrangler (who was bring to use a HI-lift) out of a ditch, and drove the speed limit all over town this morning.
