the stock halogen fog bulbs are just horrible with the Bi-Xenons...dont know what VW was thinking!...while not any brighter, these match much closer at least!

Sorry nothing new yet on car...still waiting for seat drawers from TM Tuning, man those guys are slow!!!

anyway, we headed up to my winter/summer home this weekend....For those Canadians familiar with the area....Located up in Muskoka(Huntsville,Ontario) Its about a 4 hour drive up from here in Niagara region.

First distance drive in the new GTI,and wow does it like to run on the highways! hard to keep the speed at the limit ! Love the HID lights, was first time i got out in the bush away from city and man these lights are sick at night!..able to run fogs with hi beams too(VCDS) just awesome! And i was finally able to use the coming home feature i activated in VCDS, man it sure is nice unpacking in pitch black!

Couple complaints though...Nav in Canada will not show me speed limit info on roads....also you cannot enter in a address for the turn by turn directions, from another country...IE: could not enter my home USA address when in Canada, or Visa Versa. And no traffic updates on Nav sucks, especially in Toronto the mega city traffic center of the universe! LOL.... Other then that the Nav is really nice.

The fall foliage is just about peak and weather was summerlike this week! Just ip4 pics but here ya go....

Almost forgot.....I was able to find a leftover parcel tray! I tracked one down in Quebec and had it shipped to a St.Catharines dealer in Southern Ontario, which i drive right by on way to My Muskoka place.

Thats the tough part....VW discontinued them a couple yrs ago i hear.

I was able to find one sitting at a dealer in stock. None anywhere in USA, but a couple around Canada. I got lucky, as ive seen people selling them for 250+!

Very handy item, and perfect for those small items...like my VCDS Cable!

I knew about that parcel tray in Canada, I called them up. The guy wouldn't ship to the state since they don't like us. There was another dealer in Canada I spoke to, he wanted like 75 bucks for it and 90 for shipping.

yeah VW wont let VW.CA ship to USA....odd.

I am lucky as i live on border and cross often...you could have one shipped to st.catharines dealer easily though like i did.

I like them though, it gives it a nice touch. I wish they came like that from the factory.

yeah the angled tip flows perfect with the angle of diffuser....only like 23 bucks from summit.

had to do some fabwork to them, to get them installed...i work on custom motorcycles alot so this was simple.

If you have a different plugin, you will need to use a test light to determine which wires are for reverse and ground.

Turn power on, put car in reverse to activate backup lights....then using a pointed tester, you can simply poke into each wire until you see which gives you positive test. Or you can unplug the tailight and stick test into the plug to test.

No live traffic for sure.....but i would love to know if canadian models get the "speed limits".

when I'm on USA side of border my speed limit info works perfect, when i cross to canada speed limit info is gone altogether. sucks.

Actual I'm from the other side of the world.

And yes I have the LED DRLs....

Actually as I was driving I noticed that the DRLs never actually turns off but dims instead...
So I guess that tweak is actually working....

Yes, i did see a video somewhere of a GTi from Europe, and the LED DRLs acted differently then our NA Cars...here ours only dim upon headlights, where yours seem to also dim upon turn signals too. I like the way your work alot!
