First pic of my 1983 Wolfsberg Scirocco
I just bought it a few weeks ago. This car had the same owner from 1985 - 2011. Now it's my turn!

I found some BNIB euro lights that are going to go on soon, then lowering, then my deep dish Eta Beta's.

How do you know that it's a Wolfsberg? Mine looks exactly like that, but the previous owner didn't say anything about it being a WB Rocco.
Lower It.

Awesome car! More pictures please!
I'd love to find an unmolested Silver '83.
Karmann badges, leather seats, JH motor 2H transmission...
Op, please post in there as well!

Check the build sticker in the trunk. If you have the 1.8 JH engine with a close ratio 5 speed (2H) that's the Wolfsberg model. I also think that the leather interior was a standard option....

Here are a few more from the first weekend on the road...
I gave the car a well needed wash and did a quick Eta Beta test fit...
With the right stance I think these will look sweet. For now I'm rocking the OG 13" wheels. You can also notice the nice dent and primer fix on the door... and the rust on the rear arch. That will have to wait till spring.

No a/c on this car.
Manual windows & steering.
Just the way I like it.
Does anyone know if you can mod the rear wiper arm to lay flat.
I remember I did it on my rabbit way back when & it looked slick.
Obviously the silly stock ride hide makes any wheel look retarded... but I was wondering how you like the Eta Beta wheels?

Great find at a great price!
Lowered with the Eta Beta wheels would look amazing.![]()

Teaser update...
I've been daily driving the roc since I bought it last september. I had the fuel pump die a few months ago, but otherwise it's been solid and reliable. It's amazingly 100% stock and a very addictive drive... The parts have been assembled and I'm ready to tune and tweak this scirocco!
Below is a sampling of some new parts ready to be installed soon....
The list:
euro bumpers
euro lights
zender front spoiler
full exhaust with dual manifold/high flow downpipe
engine mounts
h&r cup kit
upper and lower front stress bars
1991 eta beta wheels
90's alpine cassette deck with aux in mod
vintage momo wheel
kamei golf ball shifter

Where did you get the downpipe from? I'm half-heartedly looking for one to complete my exhaust before installing. I know TT sells the stainless version but I haven't seen one in black yet.

Downpipe is from autotech.
It's allot like the old style TT downpipe. Good price too.

Small update:
Removed the rear wiper yesterday. Plugged the hole with a bicycle handle bar plug. It fits nice and snug in the factory grommet.
I'm loving the much cleaner look. Helps with the rearward view inside the car too!

Update:
Gave the car it's first wash in 8 months.
I also installed my rear euro bumper! Wow, what a difference. It really transforms the cars shape. It just looks so right now. I love it. The US bumper is also super super heavy. It will be nice to loose a bit of weight along with the cosmetic upgrade.

Euro update.
Front bumper bolted on.
I finally took the headlights out their crusty old hella box and got them onto the car. I still need to do the wiring
The bad stance is really bugging me more now.
Suspension and some tuning coming soon....!

I like it. Please get a pair of channel locks and straighten out the front corner. Will look really nice lowered.
#25
I was planning on installing the Zender front spoiler once the car is lowered. It will cover up that little damaged spot. I think every scirocco I've seen has a similar curb dent! It's way more noticeable with the euro bumper on there now...
Questions...
Does any one know the weight difference between the US and Euro bumpers? Not that it matters, but I am curious.
I need to get some rattle cans of touch up paint. (zermatt silver) Has anyone used one of the online options? Other sources?
