Feeler: '89 16v GLI needs to go...

Some of you know our GLI from local meets, etc.

Bottom line is we need to sell her...she has become too much of a project to juggle with work, family needs, etc. We also recently picked up an FZJ80 for road trips, etc., and need to make space for that pig as well.

The good:
-1.8l 16v with German intake cam, Techtonics exhaust with a 2 outlet Magnaflow (looks stock-ish), Techtonics fuel enrichment device, K&N panel in stock airbox with side panel removed, ABD intake pipe.
-5speed with short throw lever and ancient Momo knob.
-Boge pro-gas w/H&R SofSports, VW Motorsport urethane bushes on rear shocks.
-Large Neuspeed sways Fr/Rr
-Quad grille
-Hella fogs, factory fog switch, rear fog light and rear clusters rewired to EC pattern.
-Hella Heckeblende
-Recaros

The bad:
-Recently, gently rolled into a friends truck thus cracking one of the inner quad lights
-Intermittent motor hesitation when cold/wet out, not constant
-Needs an alignment
-heater bypassed d/t leak
-dash is mostly off on passenger side but complete
-short somewhere related to DS headlight, works but dim
-needs general TLC

Will take no lower than $1k.

Ok, here are the fotos finally!

I will probably keep the fog lights, leave harness intact. See more below. Quads (most tabs intact) are E-Code and have a 3M-like protector, I forget the name:

From a couple of years ago but pretty much looks the same, just a bit more faded and dirtier now...Rear E-codes, wired for EC including rear fog on factory 3-way switch with front fogs. ND frame is unavailable presently

Side markers work. They go on with parking lights and alternate with signal (I never liked that but never bothered to change that. sorry). Our pig in the background:

4 center discs and new hardware included, not installed. Sun roof intact and works.

Note odometer. Trip computer works except for avg mpg. Hopefully, probably a sensor. That function is great on road trips.

PS dash still apart from accessing heater workings, all parts are included, not installed. DS intact. Metal pedal covers.

Recaro interior is sofa king comfy. No Rips (but brake handle and one issue see further below), no stains :

Only issue with front seats, also note seat belt release cover is missing on DS:

Only issue with back seat, including fading along top. Speakers not secured. Ski boot intact:

Oops! Brake cooling ducts included, not installed. Intact replacement spoiler included (thanks Ashkan!), not installed.

Oops again! Good thing for those 3M (or whatever brand they are) lens protectors.
