Who makes those? Looks awesome to me. Can't wait to see them on your Rising Blue R. I think they'll look sharp.

      I got them from powerwheelspro.com

They were an et42 and the even machined them to a et45 for me at no extra charge. They're VERY nice and professional.

can't wait to see them on the car. those wheels are sexy.

what spec's did you end up going with? i know i've seen them posted somewhere...just too lazy to search.

    8. 03-21-2012 06:42 PM #333
If they are still available, Rota is a good wheel, decent weight, and great price.

And for those seeking tires, why buy Conti, Michelin, or Yokohama which cost $$$$??? You should seriously look at the Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec tires. They are still used by many SCCA folks, and are at times near 1/2 the prices of the brands above! I am going on my 3rd set soon, and love them. And no others compare to these in the rain either!

Rota is still available. I was going to get some for my WRX...

Wheeldude sells the hell out of them. Also, Mach V sells the Rota D which are like the ADVAN RS-Ds.

Congrats. Love HREs, but not the price. I'm very jealous.

WRX? You on NASIOC? I was the one who exposed the problems with Zeal on the STi's, the first to go with KW, and also how that huge Strano front sway bar was starting to cause problems (rubbing, and eventually breaking off the swaybar brackets on the aluminum lower control arms). Love my .:R32, but still miss this one!

      And this one

You'll like 'em. I've been running a set in gunmetal and machined on my JSW for almost two years.

I can't make up my mind between the CH-R's and Rotiform/VMR wheels.

      19" Rotiform mono look TMB's

      VMR V710′s

      VMR VB3

those Rotiforms are not monoblocks tho, they are forged 3 piece and cost a pretty penny. seems odd that you would compare 5k+ wheels with 1-2k wheels.

They look really good also. How much do they weigh?

I ended up going with 19x8.5" with ET47. I'm really hoping that the Euro R springs get here soon as well. I'd like to get them on at about the same time.

I keep hearing goo things about the Star Specs, so I may have to give these a whirl for my next set of tires.

Price is pretty insane, but I knew that if I got anything else, I'd probably regret it. It was pretty much the only wheel available that met all of my wants and requirements. Anything else would have been a compromise.

Between all of your choices, I'd definitely take the Rotiforms.

I am all over the place when it comes to wheels, as you can see by looking at this thread.

Dont mind spending the $ if they make me every day.

alright, i just found it odd. usually people have a budget in mind and shop in within that budget. 3-4k difference is quite large. but if it makes you happy

I also was looking at wheels spanning a large price range. To me, it wasn't about total cost as much as about value and how much I was willing to pay to get exactly what I want.

There were a few wheels out there at $3k per set that I would have been happy with at that price, but I ultimately decided I was willing to pay a lot more to get exactly what I want.

Well, I sure compare cheap wheels to expensive ones. Not in terms of R&D or weight, but style wise. Hell, I'm looking at getting a sweet set of OZ wheels, but I want those BWE Rotiforms, too. The thing is, I've got this build to finish up and gather parts for- So it might be a while before I can spring for ballin' outrageous wheels. I'm thinking of just waiting to get wheels period, but sometimes you get the itch for something in the mean time..

I am in the process of getting quotes from 3zero3motorsports, including pricing on powder coating.

      Narrowed it down to these 3: VB3, RSe14, CH-R
