Thread: WTB: Westfalia camper for TDI swap

    1. 09-30-2011 10:49 AM #1
Looking to pick up a clean westfalia camper that we're going to swap a TDI into. The van can't have rot, frame rust/rot, holes, the top must be clean. The appliances MUST WORK. Willing to fly anywhere in canada for a running van that can be driven back. MUST BE A SERIOUS SELLER.
Any help is greatly appreciated. cash+trades ready.

You are going to have a hard time finding one for sale that meets all of these criteria. The newest T3 Westy is 20 years old.

I would start looking in California or Arizona. You are going to pay a hefty price. Might want to look on www.thesamba.com

      Good luck.

I've very quickly decided to search for a van that has been swapped already.. it's going to cost me over 4 for a shell and around 5-6 for the swap. i've seen some rough around the edges westy's with tdi's in them for around 5-6 so finding a cleaner one for 8 shouldnt be too hard.. keep in mind i can fly anywhere in canada to pick it up.

      bump.

This one isn't a Westy but may be worth a look....

Unfortunately none of these are in Canada. Anything in Canada will be rusty to some degree.

      Good luck.

      No problem.

This isn't exactly what you are looking for but is a smoking deal. The Bostig kit www.bostig.com is worth the asking price of this van. You get the motor, wheels, labour, and the rest of the van for free. Just pay for shipping.

I know it's in Arizona but it should be rust free.
