God I love the sound of a VR "sliceoflife" has had a few already and I loved hearing it rip thru a tunnel or by a large wall. I regret never putting an exhaust on my 24v VR6 GLI before I traded it in.

    Here come 4 pages sweettttttttttttt!

And I meant to talk about the judging at Droptoberfest because I'm not crazy about the judging even tho I took 3rd in the VW/Audi class I never expected to place at all but it looks like they look for quantity not always quality but they did say this is a all new show this year so you never know. Here is want I had last year but not anymore.

What else is on your fall/winter project list? I'm working on parting out a 91 cabriolet that I came across (needed the front end because I hit a deer right before h2o).. and hopefully by the end of winter I'll have enough money put aside for the top replacement my girl so desperately needs. And maybe some paint in the spring . . .

Oh and I saw something about someone in here driving an R.. I have a few parts laying around the garage still, mostly stock stuff like the exhaust and I think there might still be a set of racing springs down there... Idk whatever came on the car when it was purchased ended up in my garage because I put a set of K&W's on it right before the ex took it lol.. I'm pretty sure there's also a fuel pump down there. I'll have to take a look . . . don't plan on owning an R again (unless I come by a mint blue one for super cheap) so I don't really see a need for keeping the parts

Yeah I picked up a mkv t-red .:R a few months ago and have planned on nagging that over winter along with exhaust, rims, intake and some other goodies. I just wanted to enjoy it stock all summer then take my time while its snowing and have it ready for next season. Actually my other buddy with a .:R, we will be starting his air as soon as we get back after Droptoberfest.

As far as who has a .:R I know of candywhitedsg07, sliceoflife, and me. We three have mkv s but there is a few mkiv s around because I have seen like 2 silver, 2 red and like 1 blue one but I don't think they are in here yet.

Dammmmm that sucks with the deer, that's my biggest fear. Hopefully she is back to normal quick and easy, and I'm sure someone on here can gets parts if you need more.

Nice I'm liking all these plans, I'm not sure what I'll be doing with mine just yet, going to fix alot of minor surface rust, the car is really solid but just a few spots that are starting to show some wear so fixing that up and recoat the underside and wheel wells and such. Maybe some more performance stuff after christmas haha

As long as it's above freezing I'll be wrenching on the Wookie. I don't have a garage so I have to do all the work in my driveway. But basically just maintenance replacing things that need replacing from it sitting. Full brake job, tires, hoses fluids flushed. Might take the headliner/ pillar covers out and recover/dye them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dd2pg...yer_detailpage Hope this worked. You can hear some sputtering, I think it's bad gas from sitting. Going to tackle the fuel system this weekend or next weekend when I'm on vacation.

I am not sure I am going to be able to make it on sunday anymore. My car is starting up again with this damn oil pressure issue but we will see. It seems to have a mind of it's own but I'd hate to break down somewhere.

Next week is the Coolwater VW fall cruise over in NWNJ tho. You guys should definitely check it out. It goes through some pretty fun roads across the area usually with over 200+ vw's/audis and such, usually raises money for a good cause as well. Here's the link if anyone is interesting, good people, and tons of fun.

Plans for the winter hopefully include suspension redo, exhaust, rims, & minor cosmetic touchups.

Hey Dan I have been meaning to ask about those cruise pictures you posted on the second page that looked fun. Where did the cruise go and when? And is there another planned thru that same area?

That cruise was fun! It was a nice long trip but don't remember the route really, it went through lots of twisty backroads to the Hawks Nest and back again, maybe Dan know more of the exact route

I have absolutely no idea how we got to Hawk's nest, but I know it was a truly awesome ride. Maybe someone who knows how to get there will chime in. If not there's always gps.

Dan, I think it was Danny that led last time (yellow GLI in cruise pic but yellow rado's now) or at least he might know the route in his head that we took. I'll have to send him a message later and see whats good

No problem Sony. Once it's running better I'll try to get a better video, one that's not taken from the driver's seat with my phone. LOL
