Does anyone know who is the kid with the green MKII golf in scranton I think he works at Electric city Harley Davidson. I'm asking because I just figured out he lives right around the corner from me, and I saw a bunch of dubs at his place.

Yeah, I hit him up earlier and he said he could do it. Hopefully it's not too pricey cause I'm really only keeping as spare parts or to sell another kit. One charger has 5k on rebuild and the other a little over 1k. All other bearings are brand new. Would have only bought the second kit if I knew the guy was selling it cause I got it for half the price of the first one and with more parts (ECU w/chip, alternator, MAF, 30lb. injectors). Spindle was shot though. All the other bearings for the pulleys are the same size though and only like $3 a pop.

Probably at least $1k depending on what's included. I kind of want to hold on for spare parts or until I can get some extra stuff fabricated because these kits are rare and no replacement parts available. Also have to make sure both chargers are good and putting down same power. Neither have any play or anything. Both have had some damage/repair from blown bearings and the tab on the charger that the spindle bolts to welded. One is actually welded to the front and back side of the housing, so it should never break, but it would have to be cut off to open it and replace the main ceramic bearing.

The first kit I have has a couple extra brackets that I believe are for running on a mk4. Has all new couplers and intake tubes, metal intake, chip, alternator pulley (might be for mk4, but has large washer to space it out), idler pulley, and all the ABA brackets. The alternator relocation bracket is cut off at the top, jb welded down the back, and one of the bolts was cut off and shortened to work with the modified bracket. The second kit may have a 9PSI pulley, not sure. First kit came with a boost gauge, so I'll see if it puts down more.

My plan is to run the kit with a custom SRI, but I don't know if there will be clearance since the kit relocates the alternator slightly. I would like to run the lower mileage charger with the non-modified bracket, but the other one may give me the needed clearance. I'm going to run just the charger to begin with cause I still have to take the SRI and battery relocation off my old car. Might get the charger installed this weekend if I can get my car inspected first.

whats up guys? just noticed theres a NEPA thread so i had to chime in. I live in swoyersville and noticed a lot of modded VWs around, didnt know so many would be on here.

I usually hang out on the golfmkv.com forum but finally joined the vortex.

i always see a lowered black MK4 GLI with a ski rack on the top around a lot as well. hoping to catch up with some of you guys and have a few beers.

Sweet man welcome, nice to see more mkv's. Definitely keep checking in for times and places to meet up. And Swoyersville isn't far from any of us at all so it would be cool for us all to get together one night for drinks or bowling and drinking so the underage can chill too. And if you got pics to feel free!

charcoal chucks is 100x better anyway. i have had both. kundlas is good but they hardly put any sauce on their food, even if you ask for more. i like my foods to be covered in sauce if they are supposed to have them. charcoal chucks makes their own and they have it at every table too. they also have brisket chili there which is awesome.
