I'm really bad about taking my contacts out. Finally caught up with me, had to wear glasses for a while and put in eye drops and stuff. Hate wearing glasses. Really, really hate.

Yep. Fortunately it didn't look gross or anything, just felt like I had pollen or something kind of gritty in my eye. I've also had swollen retinas before from leaving them in too long- Protip: when you notice your eyes are kind of blurry it might not be time for a new prescription, it might just be time to take the contacts out for a day or two

I take them out overnight once every month-month and a half when it's time for a new set. It's been working fine for about 3 years I've had them.

I finally sent in my ~10yo Leatherman to the warranty dept. to see what might happen. Worn out jaws, nubs for cutters, two of four blades broken off from prying on things.

This is what was sent back, with a nice "thanks for your business" std letter. Newer model and everything!

It's actually a common misconception that the iPhone has 2 speakers, it only has 1. The other port is a microphone. You can actually totally block off the sound with your finger.

Uhaul "fixed" my electrical for towing which they then disabled my taillights completely by accident. The electrician that did the job said he did nothing to cause this , so I went to the Ford dealer down the road to have them take a look at it and wouldn't you know, there was a missed connection . Took the repair bill back to the same Uhaul and explained the situation to the manager and they gladly paid for my service bill from the dealer

I had to check inventory outside as my DMS wasn't pushing units to my Inventory Management software correctly. Went outside, and the wind was up, and within 5 minutes my allergies were going nuts, and my eyes were on FIRE. I tried everything not to touch them, but I couldn't help it. I rubbed them.

And then they went NUCLEAR. I haven't had them burn so bad in a long time. I'm out of eye drops, my Claritin isn't working, and my eyes feel like they have broken glass and salt in them.

Ah ha! I run downstairs, walk into the shop, and go to the emergency eye wash station. Sure, you're only supposed to use it if you get harsh chemicals in your eyes, but that's what it felt like I was dealing with.

Solid 30 seconds of cool water running through my blinking eyes, and I've fully rejoined the land of living.
