Opeth is a show I've wanted to see. Need to see when they will be near me...if they are playing mostly prog, I will probably enjoy it more. Huge DT fan here

They played Boston on the 10th of last month. Mangini is a monster, straight up. And he solo'd. Mind still blown.

BTBAM rocked my face off. HUGE SUCCESS! Also heard some Animals as Leaders at that show. Slap guitar sounds incredible. Success on their part, because I'll probably pick up an album shortly.

      Thanks man!
I just come back from a small tour in France where we played an important showcase in Paris. It went really well, the crowd loved us and the industry people present too! Our manager is now working with people from UK, Germany and Netherlands to get us a booking deal there, there is a lot of interest!

We also had the chance to open for some pretty big bands in France, in venues with more than 2000 people, it was a lot of fun!

Everything's going really well for us at the moment! I guess I could say:

I just want to reiterate how effing AWESOME Between the Buried and Me was. Holy ****!

I got all the way up to the gate, which was a huge success. I always end up like 2 rows back and those last to rows are damn near impenetrable. AND my girl didn't get crushed by the crowd. It was definitely the best show I've seen them play yet. The setlist included all my favorites, Blake took a solo spot, Paul got up on top of the shred box and took liberty in melting the crowds faces off. My buddy got a boot to the face during the opening act, got taken outside and made it all the way back up to the gate just in time for BTBAM to set up. All around, an incredible event.

Props to the guy above^^^. Major respect for artists who can perform live.

After waiting a week, I heard back from an interview I went on. They wanted me to come back for a second interview this past Tuesday. Interview went well, then while at my part time gig bartending I got a call from them telling me that I got the job. I told my boss at the end of my shift that it was my last shift.

I started my new job yesterday!

I did over the phone. They gave me a number I was happy with. And it's a job I wanted. The combination of both was a no-brainer for me.

You got lowballed then. You might be happy with it, but you could have gotten a few grand more a year if you'd asked. I always ask for 5% more than they offer straight off. And for my current job, they gave it to me without quibble. Substantial little bonus.

You guys are funny, you don't even know the details. I do like everyone always "looking out" for each other in OT. And by that I mean saying "You got screwed", "Of course your GF is cheating on you", "It's probably cancer".

How dare ANYONE be happy in the OT.

      fixed that.

We're all here to be the a-holes we'd like to be all the time in real life. Don't forget it.

More like marginalize, and then put the fear that your success might be a pitfall.

If you mean with the old employer, the numbers aren't in favor of long term success when an employee accepts a counter offer from their current employer.

Maybe you guys aren't reading this right.

I was working freelance and part-time bartending. I found a full time job that paid better than the former two combined. It wasn't something that I needed to hash out. As for the amount I am receiving for the new job. It is more than I originally thought I would be making from this company.
