So I just finished my open enrollment at work. My wife just switched jobs (we were on her healthcare), so we are now going to switch to mine.

Our premiums are dropping from about $140/month to $95/month on my plan. And get this...I just found out her new employer will pay her $115/month to NOT use their healthcare plan.

That means we now have free healthcare, and are getting paid $20/month to do so!

wanted to go for a ride sunday. While giving the bike a once-over I noticed the snap-ring holding the shifter was not on the bike. Ran down to the parts store, grabbed a snap-ring, installed, went on my ride.

Got invited to be on a jury for a community art center. In a couple of weeks we will all meet up and review the art submissions. From there the chosen work will be displayed at a local museum, town hall and a art gallery. It's one more thing to add to my art resume now.

Having served on an art selection committee I will tell you that it will be great fun if everybody keeps their egos in check. You will find as many opinions on any piece as there are people in the room. Reduce selection to a yes or no vote and your life will be much easier. Have fun.

I've done a couple in the past, not to this scale but I know the drill. There is always at least one person that isnt happy with the rest of the groups choice but whatever. It's art and last time I checked art was subjective

Helped my friend install a railing he made for a new gallery here in Detroit, talked to the owner and it looks like I may be getting a job there when it's fully finished. Gonna be a studio space/clothing boutique/art gallery so I'm pretty excited.

I would show you, but honestly it's only temporary and a very basic square railing painted white. The permanent one he is designing/building is going to be much more interesting. I'll be happy to show you when it's finished

He just needs a pair of glasses with thick black frames and a plaid shirt with a "hipster dog doesn't give a f8ck" caption.

      Looks awesome though bud, congrats.

Traded in the Subaru for a Ranger. Got myself completely out of a car payment and even though there are some problems with the truck they're easily, and cheaply fixed. Leveraged the problems with the sales guy and picked it up at dealer cost. Clean body and next to no rust on the chassis despite 167k miles of wear. Needs a new clutch and had to replace the t-stat but I'm chalking this up as a win.
