Well, since the show season is over I am going to be starting my right-hand drive swap, bay shave and a couple of other things. I will be starting in a couple weeks; this is going to be a slow build. Just want to thank Jamie at Orchid Euro. Here are pics of the right-hand drive clip and the car it is going into. I will post up updates when I start.

overtaking is kinda ballzy... but left hand turns at a light without advanced left is about a hair trigger away from suicide!

i see nothing wrong with doing this to a show car or even something you don't drive all that often. Not to mention most of the people on vortex make compromises to the drivability of their car just for "looks"

Clearly a lot of people haven't driven a RHD on LHD roads.

DUBZAK: be gentle till you need to set the rings, then back it off a hair for about 400-500 miles. Change the oil, change again at 1,000, and beat it like it owes you money.

Again, I don't see how this is "out of the box". It is more of one of those things that hasn't been done before for a reason. I guess if you lived in the states and weren't used to seeing RHD cars it might be a bigger deal, up here everyone would just assume that it was Japanese and your resale would plummet since most people don't want a RHD.

Aside from the visual safety aspect, there's other hang ups I have about most swaps/conversions. I for one love modifying, but there's a rule of thumb that has to be followed. If it came like that out of the factory somewhere in the world. What are you prepared to do to get it? or how much time/money are you going to commit to build it?

If you can buy something like a RHD corrado out of the box, it's just better... Props to those who can build it. but it's like all these mk4 kids who bought a 2.0 auto and want to swap in a 1.8t 5spd..... why bother when it can be found with a little searching.

    that's my take on it.

but RHD does have a coolness factor to it.

Conversely, if you buy a Corrado and you're concerned about resale value to the world of people who don't know/care what a Corrado is, you probably shouldn't own a Corrado.

for you dude!! but i am not sure he was asking for opinions... if this is such a common thing lets see some pics from north america... not saying there is not one or two around but why such negativity here??? This is gonna be different for our area so i can not wait to tear into this thing

it'll be cool for the owner/builder for about a month.... then driving it will begin to take it's toll.... and it will become sickening.... and then when a RHD specific part breaks... they'll really be pissed...

WrongSideDrive's heater core went in his last year and took quite some time locating one from across the pond (and at quite the expense too)

give it a while, the novelty will wear off...

I think its cool when someone does something they want to their car because its their car... I'm just sayin.
I would have gone with the 3 seat, center drive, that's just me!

I would only be impressed if the A/C and Heat actually worked with the RHD dash. Otherwise meh..... novelty.

Car is looking better every year though.

Since we never got factory AC its unlikely Heat is easy enough though.
