whats the deal with the dash?

SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
It's a California car, no rust except for some teeny tiny specs on parts of the paint that have been cleaned up and waxed over. The body and paint are in very good shape, freshly detailed paint, too.
Swap was done from an early 92 Corrado, full donor car.
Wiring and final assembly done professionally at Oz Sport tuning in San Jose, Ca.
Currently it has K-Sports and brand new 195/45 Falken 912s on the 94 GLX wheels.
Pricing:
$5500 with K-Sports and wheels/new tires.
subtract $400 if you want my weitec GTs from my mk3 instead (I'll swap 'em)
subtract $650 if you want to put on your own suspension or I'll put on a crappy stock one I have kicking around
subtract $250 if you want my pininfarinas with crappy 205/50s
subtract $350 if you don't want any wheels at all (you have something to put on it)
Not really willing to part out any other pieces but the suspension/wheels to affect price. But if you have your own suspension and wheels, you can have this thing for $4500.
If you have any questions whatsoever about pricing, what maintenance was done (pretty much everything with a couple exceptions), or anything else, just ask.
Thanks.

$2,500 would be reasonable. Your price is too high for that......

Sorry, with the condition of the car $2,500 isn't a lowball, it's an insult - especially if you expect the coils and wheels @ that price.
You're simply not going to find a car this old with paint and body this good unless it has been re-done.
I'd probably ask $2,500 if everything was stock...but it's far from it.
Thanks for the interest though.

do I see a/c lines in the car? let me know. I have some other questions, but that's first. thanks!

Yes, all A/C components are in except the condenser - couldn't get the SLC one to fit behind the rad support. But I now have a thinner mk3 one that you can have that should (hopefully) fit.
Don't be shy, ask the rest of your questions...I'm happy to answer if it gets me one step closer to a sale.![]()

what's the story on the car, what was done in CA, and what have you done? how long have you owned it? why selling?
some answers would come with better pics, feel free to email me with details and better pics, danny.wike@n2pub.com
pics of problem areas please...
miles on motor/trans? miles on chassis?
damage to the driver's side fender (can't tell, looks like it in pic)?
original paint?
why so much camber in the front end?
any issues/needs things that, like the dash, aren't done yet? everything else work as it should?
with a condenser that fit would it only need a charge to work?
sunroof? headliner?
front bumper looks a little crooked... thoughts?
I'm sure I'll think of other things, but this will really help. thanks!
seats look pretty good, how is the interior?

I bought the car all stock from a guy on Craigslist. It wasn't running. I got it running and drove it a few months before deciding to swap it. I bought the 'rado which was beat to s**t but ran good. I took them both apart and did the bulk of the swap. I had to move away from where I was keeping the car and couldn't finish it, so I saved up and paid a shop to finish it. The shop did the wiring, put in the shifter, got the coolant lines and engine hooked up, put in the mk3 fuel tank. Other than this stuff I did everything else myself before I had to move.
I've owned it since March '08, and I'm selling it because I need the money. I don't want to sell it at all. I just got it to the point where I can drive it and it totally bums me out that I have to let it go after only putting a couple hundred miles on the swap.

miles on motor/trans? miles on chassis?
180k on the swap. Unknown on the chassis because the odometer was broken when I got it and who knows how long it was driven that way. 152k on the stock broken cluster.
.
.
damage to the driver's side fender (can't tell, looks like it in pic)?
a little paint damage from the OEM fender flares. masked and cleared-over.
.
.
original paint?
yes, except for the driver's fender. I don't know the history but it looks like it was resprayed at some point. the rest of the car appears to be 100% original.
.
.
why so much camber in the front end?
haven't gotten it aligned yet. camber's not hurting anything for now. it's going into the garage for the winter anyways. if I still have it in the spring I'll have it aligned. since I may have to change or alter the suspension for the new owner, why get it aligned now?
.
.
any issues/needs things that, like the dash, aren't done yet? everything else work as it should?
everything important works like it should. once the dash is in, it'll be 100% functional. the only things I can think of that aren't wired in are the dome light and the power mirrors.
.
.
with a condenser that fit would it only need a charge to work?
I can't see why that wouldn't be the case.
.
.
sunroof? headliner?
sunroof works perfect and doesn't appear to leak. it has the OEM black headliner but the back kept falling down on it so it's not in great shape - I had to put some small flush screws in the back part because glue simply was not working. you can't tell unless you look, and it's only the back quarter of the headliner.
.
.
front bumper looks a little crooked... thoughts?
yep. I'm a moron. when I clearenced the frame rail, I didn't have the front crossmember in, and it tweaked the frame a little bit. The front crossmember still bolts on, and it affects the car in no way except that the bumper looks a little off. I had planned to have a frame shop straighten it - should be easy for them - but I never got the chance.
.
.
I'm sure I'll think of other things, but this will really help. thanks!

seats look pretty good, how is the interior?
seats are pretty clean, and are power bases but not hooked up. Stock door cards, driver's fabric needs to be re-glued. I kept all the OEM seat fabric that matches the door cards, because it's semi-rare and very 80s and I liked it. Rear seat is in good shape and matches the fronts. Carpet I bought used but it's in good shape...stock carpet was gray and very ugly.
I haven't yet listed the maintenance items I replaced while swapping:
timing chains/guides
clutch/clutch install kit/throwout bearing guide tube
ball joints
tie rod ends
.:R32 control arm bushings
fuel filter
front wheel bearings
anything I didn't replace didn't need to be replaced...like the brakes which are still in good shape.
Still should be done:
plugs/wires
transmission fluid change
OH another thing I just thought of...it has the stock Corrado exhaust on it. I didn't have anything else for it. My plan was to do a test pipe, an inline resonator, and a mk3 GLX rear muffler...but again, didn't get a chance.
If I think of anything else I'll post it up. Any other questions, ask away.
