im averaging 25 pts a game 5 rebs a game and lose



im a 3 pt specialist with 3 and mid both over 90 and my guy goes ice cold some games and we get blown out.

Others i can score 35 or so and have a B+ rating and still find away to blow it in the end because the damn PGs decide to become ball hogs

finally requested a trade but the only team interested in New Orleans. Keep playing through until im a free agent i guess. I hate this jazz team

I just wish we'd trade Nash. Took over his PG spot a LONG time ago and every time he comes off the bench and I get shifted to SG, our offense takes a dump. When he is out of the game, we roll.

I'm several games above .500 and battling for a playoff spot at this point.

Friggin win streak stopped at 7 by the Kings Their big men were too much for us, and their outside game was great. Pretty damn good game, though. Thank God they are way down at the bottom of the food chain, or else they would be a bad matchup for me in the playoffs. We are currently in 4th place in the West.

I'm on fire the last few games. Averaging well over 30 points per game, 5-10 assists, 4-6 steals, and a couple rebounds.

Since I play 8 minute quarters, the other sim'd games seem to be sim'd based on full length games. I know there is an option to change this setting in the main menu, but does that affect the MyPlayer mode as well? Anyone know? I'm going to change it later when I get around to playing.

i had one game with 6 and i normally get 2-3 per game at best

My guy's defense is the suck as well - only concentrating on offensive scoring

I just get in the passing lanes. Even a tipped ball that someone else picks up counts as a steal.

yeah i need to work on my physical abilities

seriously my shooting is all over 90 but my guy is not athletic at all - cant even dunk at 6-7

I'm the opposite. All my shooting is in the 70s and my physical stuff is sky high. Also bumped up offensive and defensive clutch.

Working on upping my dunking ability at the moment as I can barely dunk and then I'll go back to working on my 3 pt shooting.

I normally try to steal from someone OTHER than the PG and SG. If the PG/SG is not very good, then I go for steals from them a lot. The biggest thing I do with my steals is wait until they dribble the ball to their weak hand, or wait for them to try a crossover or something, then go for the ball at whatever hand the ball is supposed to go to.

For the really good guards, I trap them to get the ball out of their hands, then go for the steal on the guy who ends up with it. I also like to cheat and sag off guards that can't shoot long range, and wait for them to pass to their big men. I then pick their pockets.

Me thinks I have been playing this game too much...

well i went from a playoff contender jazz team to an 8-24 hornets team

since the trade the hornets are 8-2 and the jazz are 4-6 in the last 10

all star break is about 3 weeks away or so and i now can go toe to toe with durant and lebron going 2-1 in 3 games against them.

With the Jazz both the Thunder and Heat would beat us by 20+

This Hornets team is pretty damn good. My assists are going up and now that i have been working on getting my shooting in traffic and offensive clutch up i have become an assassin behind the arc.

Last 10 games i am averaging 33pts and 6 3s a game

The one lost was to the Heat in OT by 1 point but meh.

Its kind of amazing how a new team (even one this bad) can make the game more enjoyable. The offense is definitely run through me and no ball hogging PGs on NO. Love it. I think i can get this team to the playoffs in the west.

The first time that happened to me in 2k11, it threw me off. Even though I was the most valuable player on the team, the unappreciative fans didn't even care.

After the all star break, I've somehow lost my starting spot on the roster. WTF.....

Played in the rookie/sophmore game and the all-star game. Didn't play terrific in the all star game, but no reason I should have been relegated to 6th man duty.

lol The second game of the boos and chants, I scored a career high, thinking that would shut them up. Of course, it didn't work. The boos/chants got louder and more frequent. That's part of the reason I haven't resquested a trade in 2k12 (yet).

edit: funny thing about bombing all of my pre-draft interviews and getting sent to the Timberwolves: our roster has been ROCK SOLID since day one! I'm in my second season, and we still have the starters from last season, a winning record, and NO INJURIES!!

I used to have 3 or 4 "MyPlayer" games saved on my Xbox, but now (with Cloud saves), I have ONE game, the Timberwolves. I love this roster. Rubio is ok, but Ridnour comes in before him, and Ridnour is garbage. Rubio knows who the STAR of this team is, and actually makes the plays I need for him to make.

well i got benched after the all star break when grant hill came back and the team tanked and missed out

and like a dumbass i had only one key game left so it sim'd the rest of the season

my guy hit a bunch of milestones so i had 20k skill pts but still left a lot on the table.


Season 3 my option was picked up by the hornets but i keep rotating from 6th man to starter

avg 25 pts a game now and just came off crushing the jazz by 25 points and putting up 40 against them

i need to max out the consistency now because when my guy is ice cold this team is useless

Man, boosting up your Passing attribute DOES help with your assists. Your teammates actually make better passes too.

It's on the main menu of the MYPLAYER mode under game set-up I'm pretty sure. It's where you set the quarter length. You can set the length of the sim minutes and it will mirror your 8 minutes that you play. The players on your team stats and the players in the league's stats will go down though because they are not being compared to 12 minute quarters.

Once you play enough, you can jump the passing lanes a lot because you know the offense. I'm running the #2 and when the #4 or #5 jumps to the top of the key to receive a pass, they will swing the ball to the guy I'm guarding and I can get an easy steal by being in the passing lane. I also "reach" alot from the back when a guy is dribbling down the court, but if they call fouls early in the game I gotta be careful.

I'm back in the starting lineup after several games out. Not sure why I got booted to 6th man, but I guess Nash didn't do enough to keep his spot when he got the opportunity.

ok so right now my guy is almost maxed on the offense side of things with a shot consistency of 92. (i used a bunch of bonus xp to boost it) - and now i am noticing a shot bar on my player's circle underneath his energy/spring bar

Was that always there before?

now that i have figured that out im literally making 8-10 3s a game and anything midrange is 2 points.

As for jumping passing lanes - i need to get better but my guy is so white he gets burned easily and can't recover . I give up a lot of lobs but then normally pay it back with a 3

I was fast and could dunk - but did not have a good feel for the game so i scrapped him and decided to be a jump shooter

the guys vertical is 65ish and his dunk is 35

my guy's strength is a quick move step back and drop a 3 or run through traffic looking to lose my defender and hit a wideopen jumper (this is difficult because my speed is 68)

Would you believe that, as light as my PG is, he has no trouble backing down and scoring in the post? I haven't even increased those attributes yet, either.

I'm gonna try to look at some of my stats today. I actually looked them over really good a couple of days ago. The only thing that stood out was the steals.

I'm only coming up on the end of season 1, but I'll take a look at the stats later.

Depending on level of difficulty you're playing at, length of quarters, etc, that is going to potentially skew the results a bit.

I was on pace to break my career high of 51 this morning (had around 35 at half) and then I got into foul trouble, yanked out for nearly the entire 3rd quarter and went ice cold in the 4th. Missed like 8 straight shots. Managed to hit the game winning 3 at the buzzer to finish with 46 though. So damn close.

i had a game disc error when i had 40 pts with 3 to go in the 3rd (8 min quarters). Came back and my guy was ice cold
