The HPA Short Throw Shifter is manufactured from an all new dedicated casting which is CNC machined to precise tolerances.

With Designs for both the Mk4 and Mk5 platform, these versatile pieces of hardware can be set up on one of two different positions to suit your preference: a sporty 20% reduction in throw or a more aggressive 35%/40%.

The perfectly balanced shifter counter weight gives each shift a precise and positive engagement and greatly improves the feeling over the sloppy stock shifter.

The bright zinc plated finish ensures that the stock appearance of your engine compartment is maintained while protecting the casting from corrosion.

Includes threaded pin / ball connection for connecting the shifter linkage. Easy to follow installation instructions are available upon request.

I have the 42dd cable end bushings and shifter bracket bushings, this SS will work with them right?

"I" don't see why not. If it bolts up to the OEM shifter, should bolt up to this as well.

Yes, I have both the HPA short shifter and the 42DD bushings.

It works great. Short, solid throws with very good weight and feel.

Shifters due to arrive to us on Monday. One day of finishing here. Then UPS Standard delivery to the waiting parties.

Most should arrive to you near the end of next week, or Monday the following week, depending on your location.

I finally got an answer. They basically havent tested there short shifter on the mk6 gti yet. I said I would like to try it out. They gave me a sweat deal on it and also said if it didnt fit they would give me a full refund no issues. I just got home from installing it and it is AMAZING. Install was easy just like doing it in my mk5. Everything fit just fine as it should. I ran through the gears just to see how it felt and everything was smooth as could be. I put my intake back in place and started it up. All gears seem to engage just fine. I wasnt sure if I was going to need to do an alignment or not. I did not have to do an alignment on my mk5 and the same goes for my mk6. I took her out for a spin and after the first shift it was all

s out of me. The HPA shifter gives you a choice of a 20% or 35% reduction I think. I chose the 20% reduction and its perfect. The shifter is still very smooth like stock but alot more crisp. I actually know my car is going into gear now. I dont feel the dash now when I shift into 1st or 3rd now. All in all im 100% satisfied and recommend this to everyone thinking about going with a short shifter. Sorry for the super long story and If you have any questions dont hesitate to post up. I only have one pic as I couldnt wait to get this thing on and go drive so I only snapped a pic with my iphone once installed.
