It's not sitting level yet, and need to play with the camber, but at least I can look at it in the driveway now

Floorpans shipped today from Klokkerholm as well

Too bad the dash wasn't the same orange as the rest of the interior. But man I love those wheels!

    That'd be super dope.

Car looks great, I wish I could find cars on scrap heaps around here!

    Looks great!!!

Can you post a closer pic of the steering wheel? If it is an early rocco wheel, I just got one but have no idea what the center button/ cover looks like.

    Keep up the progress

Wheel is similar, but a larger diameter. It is from an early Audi Fox GTI so the horn button is an audi logo vs. the black wolfsburg emblem horn button yours should have

Thanks everyone. Here are some better shots I took in the rain this AM. Now just playing the waiting game on my replacement floor pans and some carpet samples from stockinteriors.com. May do some buffing on the OE chrome trim tonight.

They shipped from their U.S. distributor in VA yesterday.. which is only about 4 hours from here.. so hoping before the weekend, so I can dig in Saturday and get them both welded in place!

Have you thought about getting carpet from Newton Commercial? They have some really nice fitting carpet and I think a pretty wide range of colors too.

Hot damn, this is a great thread! Nice job saving another one, Matt.

And that burt orange interior is AMAZING, especially with the Oceanic Blue paint. Reminds me a little of Porsche Olympic Blue.

I'm not worried. I wanted to know if he considered them and what his thoughts were. Thanks for your concern though.

Thanks for the suggestion, I welcome any and all advice I have heard their stuff is top notch, but it doesn't seem like they offer an option for a color close to the burnt orange my interior is. StockInteriors had 2 colors that are pretty close IMO, and I have samples enroute from them. Thus far I've heard decent reviews on their carpets, only downside is have to cut all of your own holes.. but in the grand scheme of things it's not too bad.

Buffed up a pair of rocker trim I had sitting from a 75 Scirocco last night and put them on with new clips, really helps break up all of the blue! Going to try and start tackling the side trim tonight, they may take some time as they are pretty weathered. Weather is looking great for the weekend, really hoping I get my floopans and associated bits in!

A present arrived for the 4 door at work today. Their U.S. distributor's customer service sucks, but the package got here in 2 days, and for a pretty reasonable cost

started chopping the replacement pan up tonight and got it test fitted in the car. Planning to grind the OE metal around the pan and begin tacking it all in tomorrow evening. Hoping to have the pans both at least tacked in by the end of the weekend
