Well the only autobahn one was the dsg I wanted stick and they wanted to kill me to get one shipped in I said base is fine all I don't have is full leather ( I'm in Texas fine by me) the wheel package and navi I'm fine with out all of those base is fine for me! Still looks great so don't hate

As of a few days ago when I last checked, there were exactly 2 FSM GLIs in the country. However, approximately 12 of them showed up in the system as "Production Stock," which could be good news for the rarest of rare GLI colors.

dont know if anyone replied to this but, awesome! I got one of 12! (bought 3/31/2012) I didnt like color, but when I went to test drive, it was beautiful. looks blue on clear days, looks pearl white when parked inside.

When I put my car in reverse and step on the gas and release the clutch I hear a clicking/creaking noise. Anyone else notice this or is there maybe something wrong with mine??

I get the same thing, dont remember for sure but maybe in 1st as well. thought it may be just the pedal, but not sure cause the sound is frequent enough (creaks) to also go along with the rotating drivetrain.... was not sure if I was just overly worried..

Thanks bro, the wheels are Breyton GTS-AV 8x8 all around with a 45et. I have Megan euro street coilovers. They still have lots of room to go lower but this height is perfect for what I need. It's still a daily driver on crazy crappy Massachusetts roads.

Just to clarify, you meant 18x8s all around right? Would I be able to just buy the rims and swap the tires from my stock GLI autobahn wheels to the new ones?

My car's a daily driver too so I don't want to compromise the stock ride quality too much with new suspension. How do you like the ride quality with coilovers compared to stock?

18x8 all around, and yes you can use the tires that came with the car, that's what I did. As far as stock ride quality goes, it definitely won't be the same as stock. But after a few hundreds miles on the coilovers, I don't think I could go back to stock. It's just a totally different ride. The car is much more in tune with the road, handles sooooo much better. Get a good quality coilover suspension and you will be extremely happy. Get cheap coilovers and you will regret the day you changed over from stock. Your gonna have to give up a little ride quality to get the better looks and performance. Just get good coilovers and you will love it. Pm me if you have anymore questions.
