Just about ready for sealer. There are little things I have been working on in the bay. Getting it as smooth as I can. Should have it buttoned up tomorrow and start wiping it all down and ready for sealer. I bought some plastic so I can make a little paint booth around the bay. Hopefully it turns out well. I will have pics tomorrow.

Progress. Got the bay in sealer tonight. Now begins the bodywork. Lots of filler and sanding to make it slick.

    Epoxy sealer on the bay.

This is my little paintbooth I made up.

Put down some filler today and started sanding it down. Going to work on it again tomorrow and hopefully have it done and ready for 2k primer.

Sanded on the bay a bit yesterday. Flipped the car back up on its side so I can fix the rusted through hole in the floor. I am going to fix that and then get the whole underside in new undercoating so it will be at least one part of the car done.

Here are some pics of the modified R downpipe. I cut most of the downpipe apart and then welded it back together the way I needed it.

Finally got back to work on the coupe. Fixed all the rust holes in the floors except for one. I need to rotate the car back down so I can fix the last hole from the inside. After that is done I need to get some POR-15 for the underside and then finish it all off with some new undercoating. Then I can start putting parts back on.

Love the lights and the project... The bay work is a bitch and takes a lot of time and effort but just stick to it and finish it! It will be worth it when you sit back and say....... That looking ****ing sweet. This was my point where I didn't want to burn mine any more! LOL

I am really digging that root beer color. Polish the Zender rims and put them on, and you are good to go!! Btw, what are the specs on the wheels? I have always looked for them...

I am also reallllyyy liking the Westy setup with the Hella cat-eye lamps. Way too cool!!!

Finally got back to work on the coupe. Repaired the last rust hole in the floors and then mounted the gas tank, rear beam, and the shifterbox back on. Time to get moving on this damn thing. I want to drive it.

Got the underside covered in new undercoating and buttoned up and got the subframe and suspension back on. Then put some wheels on it and rolled it outside into the daylight for the first time in 6 months.

Cleaned up the interior last night. Got all of the factory sound deadening stuff off the floors and I am going to try and get the rest off the center tunnel and the kick panels this weekend. The stuff on the tunnel and firewall is pretty tough to get off so I am going to have to find a better way to do it. After I get everything off, some POR-15 is going down.

Also Summit delivered this today. The new coolant reservoir.

Scored a big haul of parts today for the coupe.

Got these at the same time. Going to rebuild them in 7.5" and 8" to get some more rubber under the car.

Finally got back to work on the coupe. Got most of the interior in. Need to get some Dynomat so I can put the carpet in. Then the interior will be done til I get the wiring in a ways down the road. Got the Wilwoods and new front rotors on as well. I really need to get back to work on the bay but I hate bodywork so I am putting it off and doing other things.
The centers of the seats will be changed out for a dark grey of some sort so it goes better.

    Very nice Recaros

However I'm guessing the color is not OEM?

No it's like a burnt orange. They came out of Jeff Bynum's orange coupe he has.

Worked on the bay of the coupe. Got most everything sanded down smooth. Just a couple of spots on the firewall and then time to prep for some 2k primer. *;D
