Put a coat of primer on the engine bay to see what still needed work and what was good. Getting closer to paint.

Alright so I have been really thinking about something. I am thinking about cutting the rain tray out and making a panel to cover the rain tray area. This will clean up the bay and also cover up the pocket where the wiper and everything is. I am going to make it removable so I can still have access to everything. Hmm. I think I am going to play with this when I get home.

Got the rear wheels finished on the coupe. This is about where it's going to ride. Rear fender lips need some work. It is sitting on the tire right now. Now to get the front ones straightened so I can finish them.

Cut out some pieces of the firewall and replaced them with flat pieces. Cleans it up some. There are a couple other places I want to cut out and flatten out but I think I'm going to leave them alone.

Got the knuckles torn apart today. Hubs and bearings are out. As soon as I bead blast the knuckles I'm going to put the new bearings and resplined hubs in.

Left: old hub. Right: new resplined hub. Just a little bit of a difference. Now I can run 4 lug and also fit the larger o2m outer cvs in the hubs.*

Looks good. Always nice to see your car outside for the first time, and see all the dirt and dust in the sunlight.
Just washed the accumulated grime off my car from 3 years of indoor and outdoor storage myself.

Worked on the bay some more tonight. Got the other side of the bay flattened out and the passenger side of the bay finish welded and ground down. I have to make two small pieces for the drivers side of the bay tomorrow and weld those in and that part will be finished. Shooting for having it on the road for the APR BBQ. We will see if that happens.

Worked on the bay some more today. Got the passenger side of the bays metal work done and a layer of filler on. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Now to wait for it to cure so I can sand it down.

Metalwork on the drivers side is done and the first layer of filler is on. Now to make the piece for the passenger side strut tower and then the sides will be done.

Got the other three wheels straightened today. Finished up one of them and got it together and sealed up. I will put the tire on tomorrow after the silicon cures and get going on the other front wheel and get it finished. Oh and the 3m trizact sanding disc are the ****. Just saying.
