I am confused on why jeff couldnt make more power out of a 2.75 inch maf housing? I did 400whp on one at 21.5 psi. Regardless, I am sure he will get it straightened out.

How are the clutch packs holding up? Any engagement surge or slipping? I havent decided if I want to grab a set yet or not.

Also, any piston slap with the wossners? I have a set sitting next to me ready to go in with some IE rods as well.

    Nice build.

Like I said, it is a fairly conservative tune and we really want to make sure the right hardware is in place before we push the motor to its limits; I have complete faith in Jeff's abilities. The clutch packs are great, no slippage/surge whatsoever with the new DSG file and as smooth as stock. I think the peace of mind factor alone makes them worth it. I have not heard any piston slap from the wossners and I'm pretty diligent about letting the car warm up properly.

Not yet, only thing would be the dyno video, I'll grab that from my friend and post it up at some point.

thanks for the response. Did the shop use the stock C clips that came with the pistons or use spiro rings (looks like a watch spring)?

    Was the compression drop noticeable?

Pretty sure they used the C-clips the wossners came with. The lower compression is not by itself noticeable, it will definitely be nice when we turn up the boost to the 25-30psi range though. One thing I think it contributed to is a slight (better) change in the exhaust note.

Build looks awesome. Any reason you decided to go MAF'd as opposed to the MAFless route?

Personally I don't think it's necessary; I'd rather have a true measurement of airflow rather than a modeled one. Also, Jeff hates MAF-less tuning

Holy craap Ren your car has come such a long way. I stopped in and talked to Tristan about the 2.5's and he suggested letting them build up my Rabbit. I know I can't afford it but its awesome to see the magic they did with your car. Hope to see it before the winter!

I'm curious about this as well. Seems like lowish numbers even for a conservative tune. Sounds like you have the hardware pretty well sorted. Turn that puppy up and let 'er eat! Can't wait to see what it puts down.

Been a long time man! Tristan and Mike have definitely helped me a lot, I feel like every step of the way has been a learning process for me. I'm lucky to know them.

I realize the dyno graph I posted on page 1 does not have RPM (because we couldn't get a consistent signal), but the car is seemingly running out of breath starting at 5300 rpm and you can see that around the 80mph mark. AFR is a low 12.5 and even dips down to 12 at that point and holding there til about 6500. Believe me, I'm disappointed, but I have no doubt that it will put down much more impressive numbers soon.
