No hate. He's obviously very good. It's still not creative though. Also, i said that an artists personal touches can be considered creative so we do agree about his "personal touches"

I didn't pay him to be creative; get it, or get over it. Let's see your work.

I didn't comment on you paying him. I commented on the fact that you said he's creative.

Either way, you're getting what you want and he's very good at what he does

Still waiting to see your work.

Obviously, you missed the most important part of the thread, the title.

Simple, it is an expression. Regardless, there is a dedicated art forum here. I am not being sarcastic; that forum is for art. Plenty of people post there. This is not the forum for sharing art, like it or not. The moderators don't seem to care, so, don't worry, it won't get moved.

Oh noes, TCL thread doesn't follow your rules.

Read the title of the thread. It belongs right here.

You err - they are not my rules . I did not make them nor can I enforce them. I don't understand the willingness to ignore rules. A few years ago the mods would have locked or moved this post.

There's a little triangle in the lower-left corner. It's there to make the mods aware of objectionable material. Why don't you use it instead of polluting this thread with your crying?

When was I "crying?" I pointed out there was an art forum and the post was off topic. The fact remains there is an art forum this manner of thread. The thread title even specifies "drawings."

Oh well, don't bother responding, I made my point. I am just trying to preserve the integrity of the forum.

lol you're obviously very touchy and invested in this thread. I understand.

And no. I don't have work to show you. and you asking for me to show you work doesn't prove anything. I drew as a child and studied it so I know what I'm talking about even though i'm not good at it. And i'm not good at it because I didn't care enough to be.

What about the title? It says realistic car drawing. YEAH. Once again I have to spell it out for you that making copies of "real life" is not CREATIVE it means you're a copy machine with a heartbeat.

You're the one who said it's creative in one of your posts, not me.

I can't believe people are accusing this artist of not being creative. I would say he is very creative. Simply altering something doesn't imbue it with creativity. I will say that flat6guy's objections are well-reasoned and stated, so he's not being a typical douchy troll. He's simply wrong in this case.

So, by some estimates this 1:12 scale replica of a 1956 Continental Mark II engine is not creative? He merely scaled down the original. Used drawings and measuring tools to make an exact model of the original. Nope, not creative at all.

Nor this model of an Avanti, that's made out of stock sheet and dimentional brass. It's made from pictures and drawings. Nothing existed before the raw material and the drawings. That's creating something, just like a pencil drawing.

Guys, please, have a and relax a bit.

The drawing is PLENTY creative and I can't wait to see the finished product. Its also a picture of a CAR so its CAR RELATED and besides, the art forum has so little foot traffic in it compared to the lounge.
Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. A normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow.

I received it today. I put it in a temporary frame and left it on her desk. She came running outside to tell me how surprised she was. I told her that I had commissioned a guy in Poland to do something for me, but that's the last she knew of it.

She could not be more pleased. She commented that I chose a picture of three symbolic things that I cherish; our home, our cars and each other.

This is probably the best art value I've encountered. From the reaction I got from my wife I'm sure it would be a great gift for any car lover.

    Yes, high praise, indeed.

I just want to state that the finished product is not done justice by a digital image. The nuance of the shading is almost lost in pictures. Much of the dimensionality of the car really comes out viewing it in person.

    Well done.

How frustrating it is to look at your wonderful renderings and know that I will never have the patients or skills to even submit a copy of Homer Simpson's dream car for public view. I was a little surprised to not see a 427 Cobra in your portfolio? The rear quarter view you drew of the Porsche 911 would be another best seller were it to feature a Cobra (hint). All the squabbling about what is or what is not art is a twisting of definitions. You sir, are a talented artist .

Thanks man really nice to hear that you like my work .There is no Cobra drawing because I saw too many cobra drawings, I think than beside mustang and ford GT its like the first car to draw. I'm looking for some nice classic american car photo for the next work.
