here is a very good site to calculate wheel/tire size for proper speed calibration.

      http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

I used this calculator and this is the info I got:

      http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.j...&text1=&text2=

I am definitely lowering the car, not too much, but I don't want to look like a 4x4. There are a few CC's running these wheels that I want 20x9 et40 and lowered and they are fine. I wonder if the space in the wheel well is the same in the CC vs B7 Passat.

and yes, please post pics of the B7 running 20's, I think we are all waiting for more info and pics.

I think there will be plenty of room, keep in mind your 20" wheel with a 245/35/20 as an example, has vitrually (within 1%) the same overal diameter as a 235/45/18.

Where are the full pics of your ride.. dont hold out on us.
My bad, I did not see the pics mreuro posted. Weird, I'm on this forum all day and I missed all the brakes pics and the wheels. Anyways, it looks ok. I'll input both sizes in the calculator and see what it says.

HAHA, I meant the last few pics from 11/07. I might have been pre-occupied since I finally took delivery of my car on Sunday.

So after mreuro got his new wheels, I have a better idea of what might fit. I'm using the rim n tires calculator to compare mreuro's new OZ wheels, vs the black car in his thread with TSW 20", and my potential wheel.

What do you guys thing? Andy, do you think you have a few mm left until the tires hit the fenders?

if image is too small, you can go directly to the album and zoom in.

But I'm not sure if this fits the car. I will lower the car on coilovers but I'd like to keep the ride comfortable and not have to worry about rubbing or scratching the car. Any ideas?
      So how did they fit?

I looked for some pics but did not find them; I would really like to see these wheels on your car.

What is the standard tyre size for the Passat in the US? In Europe it is
235/45-17 and 235/40-18, so the correct tyre for 20's would be 235/30-20

Do you guys think I will have an issue running 245/45/18s?

I don't see why not. I put a 245/40 19 on and I'm good. Use the link below for size comparison.

Looking to buy new wheels. Two sizes available 20x8.5 42mm offset and 20x8.5 35mm offset. Which ones will work best? Lowering with h&r sport springs
