Skyrim: 11/11/11, who's ready?

I feel like a klepto - I need absolutely nothing, can make better potions than anything in the world, have close to 200K in gold, and I STILL keep picking up everything when I find it).

Same here, though I've tamed it down some. Kind of killed the joy of it for me.

Used Call Dragon for the first time at Hag's Rock redoubt.... It makes me lag so freaking bad!! Tried it twice, both times I died before the game actually showed anyone attacking me. Anyone else have this problem on ps3?!

I get lag when I fast travel sometimes (the initial load screen/world load upon arrival - especially if there just happens to be alot of people around, waterfalls, etc.), but that's about it. I dont' really mess with the shouts, so I can't help. If I think about it, I'll try it tonight and see what mine does.

How does the DLC work with your existing character? Or do you just start over? I'm already a werewolf (for all the good it does), so can you switch over with your current character??

From what I know, I haven't downloaded it yet, if you want to be a vampire but are already a werewolf you get the chance to choose, the person who turns you into a vampire will cure you. If you want to remain a werewolf you obviously can't do the vampire quests. But you can continue the quest line with your existing character.

Yes sir. You can side with either one, the dawnguard (werewolf) or the vampires but they are mutually exclusive. I plan on creating a save and playing through both on the same character. There's also two new skill trees, one for vampires and one for werewolves.

I've had it since launch for PC, but err the graphics! Also I always get the mod bug, but that usually slows down the game.

I spent three hours meticulously following that pdf guide on modding Skyrim (On the Nexus), and boom boot the game... CTD!

Just asking, isn't Skyrim too much overrated? It's a great game no doubt with a total freedom. However there are other games who are great and maybe better. The Witcher 2 and Dark Souls are huge, but they don't have "The Elder Scrolls" in their names....

Jesus Bethesda loves kicking me in the balls. Dawnguard was supposed to be out for PS3 today from what I've read? Others says the 30th, some said the 26th.

Then it comes out that they need to release some update or patch before it comes out for PS3? Now they are saying they don't know when it's coming out?

Googling it gives a bunch of different people saying different things.

This article is the newest I could find and it looks like I'm screwed for a while longer.

PC players may get a crack at The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Dawnguard expansion before it arrives on the PS3. The beta update which was recently pushed to Steam is currently in testing on PC, which could mean that Dawnguard will roll out on the platform before it launches on the PlayStation Store.

Bethesda confirmed in a recent tweet that the PS3 version of the patch would be arriving in the coming weeks. They did not however, reveal whether or not the PC version of the content would arrive in tandem with it and how long the beta process for patch 1.7 would be on PC.

Before the content can arrive on PS3 the patch needs to go through certification at Sony, and as seen before this can take some time. However, the patch will definitely need to arrive on the console before Dawnguard is released due to the addition of features that were already added in the latest Xbox 360 update to the game. Bethesda rolled update 1.6 into 1.7 on the PS3, as PlayStation gamers are still waiting for the addition of features like mounted combat.

We'll have to stay tuned to what Bethesda has to say about the inbound content that expands the Skyrim experience.

Finally got 1.06 for PS3 last night. First thing I did was run out and buy a horse to try mounted combat... leaving Markarth, had started the Heart of Dibella quest, and had a random encounter with a single Forsworn archer. FML, horse was dead in 2 shots before I could even pull out my bow

I'm really hoping to get some news about when us PS console peasant folk can finally get Dawnguard!!! Been playing since I bought Skyrim for myself for Xmas, and I'm finally starting to run out of places to clear (I think 330 discovered locations so far).

XBOX 360 Level 41 and I got my Dragon armor to Legendary last night. I leveled up simply by training my Pickpocket to 100 then going to Trainers, letting them teach me, then pickpocket the money back and repeat. Also got a weapon with banish then disenchanted it, then enchanted a ton of daggers I smithed and sold each dagger for 1K plus. Also anyone who's speech isn't at 100, go to riften and do the glitch by bribing/persuading that guy in the meadery (google Skyrim speech glitch). I always carry 2 1 Handed weapons, 1 has Soul trap on it so I can fill soul gems to make more banish daggers. I have no problem buying anything I need now.

My gf plays when she gets home from work, it relaxes her to make potions, upgrade armor and sell. I mostly do the missions.

Shes playing right now and shes got 446,000 gold

We also own every house in the game with every upgrade, multiple sets of enchanted dragon armor, glass etc etc.

Also I am pissed about waiting for dawnguard this is getting ridiculous now if 360 gets another DLC before PS3 gets dawnguard. Anyone have a concrete date yet?

On their site the only date for Hearthfire is for xbox. I wonder if I can box my spouse in a room with no doors and no toilets........

100k is pretty easy. get yourself the speech perk that allows you to invest in shops and go to the dude in riverrun and invest in his shop. he will then have over 10k to buy stuff. then go town to town buying all of the alchemy ingredients and make yourself some pots. lots of them. sell them to the dude in riverrun. when the dude runs out of money, rest for 48 hours. wash. rinse. repeat.

I can usually make 35-50k in one round of selling pots to that dude.

The problem is they develop stuff for the PC/360, then port it over. It's well known that porting things from 360 to PS3 is a difficult task. It's why smaller third party studios with less time/money develop for PS3 and then port to 360.

So with Skyrim, you have a PC/360 team that's trucking right along making new DLC's and whatnot, while the Sony team is still struggling to port the first DLC. It's just the way it is.
