We're looking into a cabin now... hope to have our spot locked down by weeks end.

Should have 4-6 of us coming down for this.

So this will be my first year attending - booked a suite at the Helendorf for myself and my wife.
Is that a mistake? I'm guessing it's just insanity all weekend long?

It can really depend on where you room is located. First floor rooms facing the parking lot can get a little loud, it's pretty much the main party spot, but all the hotels can get a little wild haha

I was there last year for my first SoWo.... Honestly, its not bad. There is usually some crazyness but nothing to hateful.

I'm staying there again this year so it didn't scare me away. Were rolling out Thursday AM if you want to come down from Cbus to Cincy

    Anything off of here.

    I think we used A-1

    http://www.helenga.org/accommodations/cabins

I'd try to stay within 1-10 miles of Helen if you can. Each place will tell you where it's at and we just had to google it to see how far it was. Most of the sites you use to look for a rental will have to option to search for rentals in or near Helen.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. We may not be able to leave until Friday AM. I'll keep an eye out as it gets closer.

I still haven't booked a room yet! The rest of my group of people are being very indecisive and taking too long to get going with figuring out how many rooms to get and booking them, so I fear that rooms are going to be gone soon.

What's even still available? I'm trying to find a room for myself at Helendorf but haven't came up with anything yet Is anyone looking for any roommates for the weekend? I went last year for my first SoWo, but the people I went with didn't want to stay overnight (and weren't old enough to drink anyway), so this year I will be staying all weekend and have every intention of partying the entire time! haha

The last I checked the Helendorf is full. We are trying to decide between a cabin or a hotel...its our first trip down and we will have two kids along for the ride. Indoctrination and what not.

This also means that we need to find a place where they will be able to sleep without being drugged. Not that I would do that...

    Anyway.

Are the cabins all spread out away from stuff? One of the best things about H2O (ok...the only good thing) is sitting on motel balcony drinking and seeing what goes past. It sounds like SoWo is a different sort of thing.

just booked one of the cabins on golf course, looks to be legit and the price is really good.

Just got 2 rooms booked for our 10+ person group! Country Inn Suites, although advertising online as having no rooms available, do have a few left specifically for SoWo peeps. Only $99/night (plus tax), breakfast included, and a car wash area will be set up. Give them a call before the rest of the rooms are booked! 706-878-9000
