Because we are the only species that can go to the grocery store and buy another species milk. I've cut dairy out of my diet before but never noticed a difference. I could do without milk but I've got to have my cheese and ice cream.

My favorite is beef/salmon jerky. Post workout food should be some real solid protein that your body needs time to digest so you feel fuller and not hungry again so soon.

Too many people just drink down smoothies that are packed with sugar and does not make the body full for long and you end up eating more crap afterwards.

Costco's Kirkland Signature brand. They call them Beef Strips. They are so moist, seasoned great, not too much salt and no MSG, and a really good price. was like $7 for 12 ounces. I'm hooked
Those things are awesome. My only problem is that I bought them and I did not realize that they are supposed to be refrigerated after opening and a few days later they were covered in mold.

Pumpkin seeds are a favorite of mine lately. Especially the huge white ones that are in the shell, lightly salted. OMG! Sprouts has them in bulk too. They are ugly but O so tasty compared to the little green kermit ones.

Yeah I'm not convinced protein shakes are as bioavailable as real food. I've heard numbers that's it's as low as 30% bioavailable protein, but I haven't really gotten a straight answer.

It's a natural fat and high calorie weight gainer. I gained a solid 5lbs in two weeks. Hit a plateau, couldn't break 200lbs. Now I don't drop under it. Only took it for 3 weeks too.

For muscles building snakes protein based foods are more effective.
I prefer to take pure milk, yogurt, eggs, cheese, fresh fruits, and green vegetables for my muscles building snakes.

If it works for you, I guess there is nothing wrong with it. Just sounds disgusting.

I'd just rather put the oil on some vegetables or something, and drink the milk plain.

dehydrators are worth it if you like jerky a lot. mine was 50 bucks and has 5 trays, more space than i'd ever use. then i took it to the next level and bought the "meat gun" which is a gun you load ground meat into and pull the trigger and it comes out in different shapes (think play-doh).

Yup, dehydrators are sweet. Not only do you get to eat what comes out, but I think it is fun experimenting with new foods.

I have one that holds... a lot of damn food. Sliced up about 10 Gala apples one time for it, and they filled like 1/4 of it.

Buddy of mine told me to try this very simple snack idea.
Fill a bowl with disired amount of peanut butter, then mix in oats and protein powder. Scoop into small cup cake papers or onto wax paper and refridgerate.
    Done.

Waste of eggs. Body won't use much of it.

Your body won't know how to use the proteins in that raw of a state as well as cooked. Maybe a pro could chime in... But about 3 years ago a did a bunch of Internet digging on eating raw eggs, cuz I can stomach anything, and I wondered why not just chug raw eggs all day long. I don't have any references on hand, but I do remember starting a thread called chugging raw eggs. Maybe there's a link in there.
You have the option of egg beaters, being pasteurized but that crap is a huge rip off. Like 5 bucks for like 5 eggs worth iirc. I eat about 15-20 a day so egg beaters is not an option. If you're a bad mother ****er just throw some cooked eggs in a blender with ur shake. But that makes for a frothy one.

Meh, all I have heard is that cooking eggs doesn't really do much to them... other then cook them.

Also, raw eggs can have salmonella poisoning. Normally, the shell of eggs protects it from contamination. However, upon cracking, contaminants can get into the egg, or it can enter through tiny cracks in the shell.

    Then you drink it.

Gotta wash them. The nasty is on the shell. Chickens piss chit and lay eggs out a final hole.

It's more of a cultural thing than anything. They don't refrigerate eggs at the grocery store in Europe or in Japan and we eat raw eggs all the time. You can even get raw beef here mixed with raw eggs.

Bring some protein powder in a bag and mix it with water or milk when you're at the gym. That's what I do on occasion.

Yeah that's better than bringing your own bucket. Any gym will have a closet full of protein buckets. My old gym would sell these mystery buckets for a small fee.
