I`m in! 2.5 SEL , 18x8 wheels, 235 45 18 hankook V4s, 35% tint on the sides and 50% on the rear, future plans include an APR tune, H&R springs and oem foglights (when all is solved and whe get the part as an accesory), i literally love this car!

Max legal in Texas is 25% VLT. Dealer did the tint as part of the deal, not sure of the brand.

1.) I have NEVER like a red/maroon color on ANY car- until I saw the Opera Red which is just gorgeous

2.) is there a single color these cars DON'T look great in? Colors I wouldn't have never considered such as the Opera or the light blue even look great on these things! I'm negotiating on a Midnight Blue SE myself- color looks fantastic in the light, black at night, will be a pain to clean, but I'm sick of white for a while

Funny you mention Opera Red and Glacier Blue. They turned out to be the two colors I wouldn't get. I actually ordered Opera Red and then when I saw it in person, changed to black. The Opera Red has a bias toward purple. Over the years, as it fades, it will look more and more purple.

About a month ago a VWGoA corporate car went by me in Glacier Blue. Was a bit too much like sky (Tarheel) blue. Not a bad color, just too light for my taste.

Also on the subject of colors, I just had a corporate TDI SEL with 6000 mi. come in to my shop with Cornsilk Beige interior. The Dynamica inserts were filthy and actually brownish looking. That will be an area that requires regular upkeep.

Really like this car and it will look even better with a moderate drop. Black was not even on my list and it happens to be the only available color with the configuration I wanted. I end up getting the car and now I think is one of the best looking colors in the passat, the car really looks good in almost every color!
