If you don't mind saying, what did this cost you, and does the AWD affect the MPG of the TDI??

I think the TDI170 DSG 4M runs at 5.7liters per 100km combined
That should be about 41 MPG.

The 2WD goes about 44,2 MPG.

My GT V6 goes a whooping 25.2 MPG :-)

My mom traded her 2009 Tiguan SE 2WD on Monday for a 2012 Passat 2.5 SE auto w/Sunroof in platinum grey The Tiguan blew three water pumps in less than 5K miles (leaving her stranded each time), so I wanted her to get something more reliable. Prior to the Tiguan, she had a 2005.5 PG Jetta that she LOVED, so the "downgrade" to the 2.5 wasn't much a downgrade for her. The Passat is about $200 cheaper per month than her Tiguan, plus she's getting a lot better fuel mileage (although I wish she had went with the TDI). In total, this will be the 10th Volkswagen our family has owned

I'm having dinner with her in Denver tonight, so I'll snap a few pictures and post them tomorrow.

None so far... Had 4 adults in car, 2 car seats in trunk on a bumpy road today, nothing. But while parked in a parking lot, checked FULL wheel lock is super close.

2012 Passat 2.5 S. We should have sprung for the SE, but this will do for now. No mods. It's a lease so I don't know what I can/can't do an not get into trouble for doing it.

I have been trying to get another one for my wife car..it comes handy to protect the rear bumper when loading and uploading groceries, strollers, shopping cars and etc..
