VR6 Beetle $4300 OBO KY

VR6-swapped Beetle. I have a Carfax and it will show that the motor should have between 80-85k miles on it. I've put around 30k on the swap and it's my daily driver, and anyone could fly in and drive it home.

- 12v VR6 swap
- lightened flywheel, K&N intake
- Magnaflow catback
- Short shifter
- 2002 square bolster leather swap from a Sport turbo
- 18" BBS RCs in red
- clear turns and other lights
- FK Sportec suspension
- updated to later steering rack with new tie rods

It's rock solid and will go cross country if you wanted it to, and I know this because I made a 2800 mile round trip last year with no problems.

A/C isn't working because it needs two lines put back on. I was told I should be able to put those on, pull a vacuum, and refill and be fine. It never bothered me till last summer but my job sucked both schedule and money-wise so I left it alone. I have time and money to now, I guess, but I'm ready to get back to air cooled cars.

All the big pieces, i.e., the condenser, drier, compressor, etc. are all installed on the car and I have one of the two lines needed to finish it up.

Are there any possible issues with title and registration as the car has been modified. Not sure why there would be, but thought I would ask. What kind of mpg you getting daily without hammering all the time?

I don't know why there would be any reason titling it anywhere except maybe California. The title is clean and has been registered both in Maryland and here in Kentucky with no problems.

I say I don't hammer it most of the time but that's not what my riders say. Last time I did the math I was averaging 26 mpg, which is what my GTI VR6 also got. I stayed around 30mpg on the interstate.

Here are a ton of old pictures from when I was selling it last year for a different '79 convertible. Obviously the wheels have changed but otherwise it's pretty much the same. I got that rubber crap off the top of the door panels too.

I've always wanted a VR Cabby but I always wanted a VR Beetle more and now I'm going back to air cooled cars. Your Cabby would create quite a stir in my podunk town though, and that part is pretty tempting.
