Whats going on everyone, been on the vortex for a while, did a few posts and all, but never actually introduced myself, name is steve and I'm a vw/audi noob. Been a mechanic for 12 years so worked on plenty of them, just never owned one and to be honest I love it. Car is a 2009 VW jetta SE 2.5L 5spd black with the leatherette interior. Current mods so far are smoked marker lights, smoked mirror lights, and full custom exhaust, so I decided to be different and fabbed my own with a bullit muffler, and straight pipe the rest of the way back, and my antera wheels that I love by don't like poke so never actually ran them. Have a set of FK Highsports i'm planning on swapping the inserts to Silverline x's in the fronts. since I'm a noob, every bit of help counts since i'm going from building Ford's for drag racing to vw's, so i'm lost. thanks for input

I have a set of FK Highsports sitting on my toolbox, but need to replace front inserts and get sway bar end links. just don't have the funds right now I've been trying to sell/trade my antera's, but no luck, and already did a cat back. I made a custom cat back consisting of a straight pipes all the way back and a single chamber bullit muffler My boss says he hears me coming to work from blocks away Lets just say making the bend for the center muffler/resonator is a ***** Took me 2 tries to get it bent right to fit

If you cant find the parts you need at either ecstuning.com or germanautoparts.com, you don't need it. Both have the best prices as well in my experience. Welcome!

Thanks for the info guys, only thing I'm still wondering about is do I need to run shorter end links with my fk coilovers????????? and stupid noob question regarding the rear perches. By the way they look, they bolt to the lower control arm????
I've heard nothing but great things about ecs tuning, so I plan on making plenty of purchases from you guys.
Only thing I have video wise of the exhaust is a short vid I took at idle but the vid blows cause I took it with my phone, trying to get a good vid soon

This is one of those things Vortex argues about. I have yet to see any definitive answer. I thought FK shipped shorter end links with their coilovers though. Anyway I'm running shorter ones (the FK ones) and they are working well and others running stock ones that work well. Also seems to depend on the coilovers.

Bought mine second(technically third)hand, was missing links and spanners. I just got the spanners but still need the inserts for the fronts cause 1 is blown. They're FK Highsports, was planning on putting in siliverline x inserts for the adjustability. I didn't want to throw them on to find out the links hit the control arm and end up kicking myself in the ***

Ok, posted this before but got no answer, when I install my coilovers, the rear perches don't look like they will sit on top of the coil. Am I right with assuming they get install to the lower control arm or do I have some fun ahead of me
