Pics are way way to bad to tell. For me at least. Tell him you will meet him at a watch dealer.

Never said they were good pics.
A friend of a friend of a friend is trying to sell a new Daytona. Said he wants $5000 for it brand new.
I know watches pretty well and have a decent amount of info on Daytonas. I didn't look at it in person as he's over an hour away. No paperwork or box so it SCREAMS fake to me. I'm ready to walk away just because of this.
I'm iffy on taking it to a Rolex dealer as I'm afraid they'll snag it if it's fake. (Not that I care, but I don't want to screw the guy.)
I think the Chorno placement in relation to the rest of the watch is off. Thoughts?

Does not appear to be genuine. The indicies at 3 and 9 are not there as they should be. Also the lug with looks small. The crown guard does not extend far enough to fully cover the crown knurling. Why worry if it gets snagged as fake? He is trying to sell sell it to you for $5000 grand, I would say if it is fake he fully intended on screwing you.

FAKE! even with the bad photos it's easy to tell
those silver subdials give it away along with all the other mentioned items.
they DO NOT PUT DIAMOND FACES ON STAINLESS STEEL WATCHES
for god sakes go to the rolex web page and look at the real ones
rolex stainless steel daytonas new in the box sell for 10k at least , go on ebay and check it out.......
they guy could go to a pawn shope and get 8k IF it was real.........
RUN!

Thats not even a good fake.
Females who don't give head end up as crazy cat ladies.

Fake.
Also consider- is the seller the kind of person who would own a $10K watch? I've had similar situations where some dude in a trailer with a $300 car said he has a $10K watch for sale. It was a bad fake- the kind you get in NYC on the street for $50.
Even with boxes etc, many are still fake.
If he's legit, he will have no problem meeting at a dealer who will evaluate it.

Figured it was fake from the get-go.
He did agree to meet me at a Rolex dealer. I don't think that will go over too well.

they guy has some b*lls if he acutally showed up at the dealer,
saying you'll show up and actually showing up are two different things
just get out now.........no need to go further with any of it.......
