Went to go take a look at some houses for sale today, and two of the 4 had mold in the basements. It's been a crazy year for rain here in Pennsylvania!

Anyway, one of the houses we really liked. Of course it was the one with the most mold. In the basement it was halfway up the drywall, and also on the dropped ceiling tiles. It was throughout the entire basement on the walls, maybe half or less of the ceilings were affected. Otherwise the house was great.

So, should I steer clear of this thing or is it fixable without spending a fortune? I do a lot of construction work so tearing out drywall, letting everything dry, cleaning, then replacing all the drywall and ceilings wouldn't be a big deal for me. Also the basement has a separate outside entrance so I could seal the basement off from the rest of the house and take all the depris out through that and into a dumpster.

Anyone with some experience with doing this first hand? Should I run from this house? Obviously the price is good with the mold issue and refinishing a basement is no big deal for me.
