I'll say that the focus thing did bother me a bit, hurt my eyes trying to follow the focus points, but I understand you're learning the new rig and I never hate on someone who gives us free videos of cars to watch.

    Keep doin'.
I am not old, nor do I know or care what an H20 event is. What I do know is those cars look broken and those tires are too small for the rims. I don't know much about this camber thing, perhaps you could be a pal and show me some reason why it's "good"

Oh, and OP, in my first reply I chastised the focus thing. Obviously that's stating the obvious. I do like the video otherwise, the grim weather is actually a nice backdrop. Perhaps some more engine revving and "cambering" (is that what those funny looking cars do?) in the next video?

Because a certain group of people like it?

I'm not a fan, but there are also people who aren't a fan of what I do to my cars...so? Good is relative.

Lets not turn this thread into a war on that portion of car culture, please.

I'm really curious, I'm very "open minded automotively" Maybe I'm a tad ignorant for not knowing what this is about, like is it just for looks, does it have a purpose? I can appreciate that it must not be easy to make happen, I'm just curious why.

Perhaps this question belongs in the the stupid car question thread

This argument holds no water considering what the cost of a set of fancy wheels and a modified suspension costs.

The replies here remind me of YouTube comments. You could make the most artistic and "Tony Scott'd" at the same time level of production and someone always chimes in that some element of the end product is totally subpar - with the implication that said commentator wouldn't ever do that.

Check commentators account - no uploads other than stuff from TV and pen0r jokes.

Edit: if your "hater" or "being a hater" takes the form of calling something in the video stupid/dumb/whatever - use real words, properly, you mouth breathing keyboard warriors, lest ye come off as a hypocrite.

thanks guys (and girls) i appreciate the constructive criticism. Trust me my work from here on out will be a lot smoother. I like posting in here because I can get a different perspective from people outside of the "stance scene/mk4 forum kids."

thanks man i appreciate it! Every video i try something new, and its been a long run but definitely been improving!

to everyone, i understand this event isnt to everyones liking and not everybody loves this style. I myself have a bagged 20th and love it. Its not a performance or track car nor was it made to be. There are cars that can and can't be. i dont hate people that would rather track their cars and have them being functional and not low as hell. I just tried to showcase the best shots with teh best cars, there were plenty of "track" prepped cars that were super nice too. I cant appeal to everyone, this event isn't for everyone, but it was very fun.

So instead of spelling it correctly, he used an apostrophe which takes the same amount of key strokes.... Seems rather silly.

It's the same thing that's been happening since car customization began. Did Barris make his vehicles more functional with bubble tops and crazy body modifications? Were lead sleds easier to see out of with chopped roofs, or easier to drive sitting on the ground? Are blown V8, 600hp T-buckets with 3 inch wide front tires and 16 inch wide rears any less dangerous than some stretched tires? Did anyone make a difference playing it safe?

Good is totally objective. This new "stance" movement may not be to everyone's taste, and I can see why, but you can draw a parallel to many of the popular trends that have existed since people started tearing into their cars to make them their own.

Some people will complain that the scene isn't the same as it used to be, but there is a lot of really awesome work being done to modern cars. Everything's fine.

People often do this to represent a different dialect, or way of saying a word, which is what I did. Doin' sounds different than doing. I'm not on TCL trying to save time with rogue punctuation.

Seems silly to spend several posts on a single apostrophe. That's quite a few more keystrokes.

    Couple of things:
    - The AF sucked
    - When did H2O become an all make event? When I used to go, like 5 years ago, it was pretty much exclusively VAG crap. It now looks like its just an event for stupidly low, pointless and useless cars.
    - Is leaving your filler door open the new fad? There were multiple cars parked with them open.
    - Im so glad Im out of that crappy scene. Seeing all the hipsters and morons walking around just confirmed it. What a joke.
You think you hate it now. Wait til you drive it.

-Did the "AF" suck? Did it?! Don't think that's been covered already...oh wait.
    - It has slowly been progressing to become more inclusive. I quite liked seeing the "outcasts" as they are termed at H20 this year. It is still hugely VAG focused, though.
    - Dunno

the video was cool. As been beaten to death too much focus.

Oh, and I hated the subject matter.
this will get beaten to death, but nothing but video of wheels with camber, tire stretch, people driving deathly slow cause the car is too low. blah, blah, stancecrap, blah.

You win the "I didn't realize you drove a slobalt SS" award

Kidding though. My buddy Matt had a 4dr SS that put down over 400whp on E85 on his own tune. Just under that on pump gas. Stock turbo/30psi. Retarded.
