A1, I don't know you or Mike personally. I don't defend his harsh posts in mk1 threads. I do however want to see him succeed in his builds. If you really can get his truck running (which I truly believe you can), please halp just for the love of the cars. Not everyone can learn solely from reading a book, it's science. There are several ways to learn and I'm sure he would benefit more from one session of hands on explanation than the constant thumbing back and forth through technical mumbo-jumbo that is the bentley and so forth. I can relate to what you have said, and as hard as it is to hear, some of it should be said, but as a friend, in love and not in retaliation for his misbehavior. Two wrongs don't make a right, and all that jazz.

As for the Thing, please keep posting up whatever changes you make, Mike, even seemingly insignificant ones.

Out with the ummm who knows what seats & in with the mint THING seats

Unbolt what ever them seats where & pull them out.

Test fit old floor pans with seat rails to find out what side is for what.

Cut off all the old floor pan & test fit again

Man these look & feel great. SUPER HAPPY

      An A1 approved upgrade

Yes the steering wheel is next to go but the one i want is mega rare / very hard to find. As for SoWo I WISH it was my intention BUT after finding out it's only running on 3 cylinders it's not happening. I would trailer it down if i owned anything to do so.

Got an offer i can't refuse. A local air cooled guy has a jug & rings to fix the # 3 cylinder that has no compression. IF it needs more NO big he has 2 1600 engines he will loan me till i get mine rebuilt if need be.

So in a week or so him & I will be digging in & getting this THING running like it should.

It just might make it to SoWo

i'm debating just what sort of post it would take to get this thread locked and/or blackholed without getting me banned.

i'm tired of seeing this crap on page 1.

you should seriously take some of that advice to heart.

or you could go bump your mk1 thread for more constructive criticism on your general lack of common sense.

      edit* to add more douchebaggery:

-it got lost in the mail or delayed for some reason.(forget the issue now)

      AND
-refunded him ALL his money to make a customer happy and stand behind our parts and our service.
-so free everything for a day or two delay.
-yet i STILL got a public bashing on vortex from him.
Josh at NLS is one of the most respected watercooled guys in any section on this board and you had the audacity to talk trash about him because of a 2 day delay. seriously? i'm honestly drawing a blank as to which insult to throw your way because the amount of sheer stupidity that it takes to do what you did, and currently do, is mind boggling.

unlike your whiny complaining useless threads i actually contribute something to this board and actually help others. likewise i don't barge into people's threads and start the name calling or mud slinging on page one like you always do. or go against the mods/admins on the what you can and can't sell policy. etc..... the likelihood of me being banned is slim.

      it's WTF not WFT.

and you really should stick to your original plan of:

and posts for updates on your thing? that's funny. that's really funny.

gtfo and stop returning? just as soon as you stick to your original plan of no longer needing this thread....it's awesome that you finally did that for your 2nd truck build thread:

and i'm truly surprised that the MK1 crowd stayed positive and really tried to assist you for as long as they did before giving up. everyone in that section, even deathhare, tried to help you for quite a few pages before giving up. it was honestly surprising to me. but in the end you pissed them all off.

The list goes on and on. That thread is full of fail, to be completely honest.
truth be told i don't think cars are your bag, or posting threads, or posting posts on the internet.

We very much used the stands just needed to raise it up more to slide the engine out from under it.

YES it looks like it may make a guest appearance at SoWo
