Yes the steering wheel is next to go but the one i want is mega rare / very hard to find. As for SoWo I WISH it was my intention BUT after finding out it's only running on 3 cylinders it's not happening. I would trailer it down if i owned anything to do so.

Got an offer i can't refuse. A local air cooled guy has a jug & rings to fix the # 3 cylinder that has no compression. IF it needs more NO big he has 2 1600 engines he will loan me till i get mine rebuilt if need be.

So in a week or so him & I will be digging in & getting this THING running like it should.

It just might make it to SoWo

i'm debating just what sort of post it would take to get this thread locked and/or blackholed without getting me banned.

i'm tired of seeing this crap on page 1.

you should seriously take some of that advice to heart.

or you could go bump your mk1 thread for more constructive criticism on your general lack of common sense.

Josh at NLS is one of the most respected watercooled guys in any section on this board and you had the audacity to talk trash about him because of a 2 day delay. seriously? i'm honestly drawing a blank as to which insult to throw your way because the amount of sheer stupidity that it takes to do what you did, and currently do, is mind boggling.

unlike your whiny complaining useless threads i actually contribute something to this board and actually help others. likewise i don't barge into people's threads and start the name calling or mud slinging on page one like you always do. or go against the mods/admins on the what you can and can't sell policy. etc..... the likelihood of me being banned is slim.

    it's WTF not WFT.

and you really should stick to your original plan of:

gtfo and stop returning? just as soon as you stick to your original plan of no longer needing this thread....it's awesome that you finally did that for your 2nd truck build thread:

and i'm truly surprised that the MK1 crowd stayed positive and really tried to assist you for as long as they did before giving up. everyone in that section, even deathhare, tried to help you for quite a few pages before giving up. it was honestly surprising to me. but in the end you pissed them all off.

truth be told i don't think cars are your bag, or posting threads, or posting posts on the internet.

We very much used the stands just needed to raise it up more to slide the engine out from under it.

YES it looks like it may make a guest appearance at SoWo

relocated rectangle, or quad round ones in the rear bumber. Clean up the back kinda like a roll pan on a truck or suv.

was thinking about this BUT with it sitting so low i don't know how safe it would be. We have a ton of moron drivers that don't watch what is right in front of them.

I have seen the bus light conversion & i like the look of that on the vert part of the rear

^ ^ ^ LOL with the jeep 3rd brake light

I'll figure out something before long cause they are kinda ugly & i have had many people tell me i got no brake lights mostly cause the LED brake lights that are 1 directional straight out & with the lights at a 45 degree angle no one can see them.

Looked for red brake light bulbs & they are illegal to sell in KY. cause red is for cops

Did some work myself on the engine. adjusted the valves to bad after putting new rubber gaskets on it leaks like an oil rig.

Cleaned of both surfaces. Took them off & put them back on 3 times & even swapped them with other engine. WTF

so glad today i wanted to get it running better NOT

O YEAH while getting pissed off about it all i threw a screw driver & busted one of the taillights.

I think i'm taking it off the insurance & road this week

by the by, rubber valve cover gaskets pretty much suck for aircooled motors. you want replacement ones out of oem material, ie cork, that is if you want them to seal up and not leak.

you have to remember cheesecake that when something works for a water cooled motor doesn't mean it will work for an air cooled motor

throwing tools at a vehicle or in general when you get upset is reserved for little boys and spoiled brats.

and it goes double for when the temper tantrum is brought about by something as simple and silly as leaking valve cover gaskets.

best thing to come out of this thread thus far.

when you finally realize that owning an aircooled vehicle just isn't your speed and you decide to toss it up for sale i'm not even going to pester you with "i told you so"

your: it's your right to pester me about acting like a 8yo with a skinned knee on an open vw forum that i'm currently making a mockery of.

you're: you're still pestering me because it's fun poking things with a stick sometimes. more so when they keep acting like an 8yo with a skinned knee.

brake: A brake is a mechanical device which inhibits motion. brakes on a car.

break: to crush or batter something to pieces; to break something down. break the tail light.

and honestly i don't give a crap about your stress levels on your builds. they are created by you, no one else. and they are greatly being increased by you, no one else. want them to go away? sell the crap that's stressing you out, done. no one told you do do builds and no one is making you do them. whining about being stressed out over your builds is both petty and immature. fawk, i got cold clocked from someone running a red light the other day and i didn't whine and complain this freaking much, or anything near it.

this build jumped the shark over 3 pages ago. i'm just here to help and try to get it locked "due to no more positive outcome"

    edit

    about damn time.

also keep in mind that the "A holes on Vortex" tried to help you with every stage of both your builds from the beginning to pretty much now. you're the one that ignored their advice and generally posted a bitchfest every time you hit one little snag. you alone changed the general consensus of how people treated you.....you.

you want more positive influence? what, we all need to come over to your place, hold your hand, and sing kumbaya while doing all the work on your vehicles for you? seriously, WTF. there are pages here in this thread and in your truck build where countless people attempted to help you. there are those that damn near spoon fed you on the most simple procedures without a single lick of negativity against all your whiny complaining bitchfests.

what fails is you. you brought all this upon yourself. you and you alone. you did all what you see around you. unless you improve your attitude it won't matter what forum board you sulk off to as you will, in time, come to be treated exactly the same as you are here with the same outcome.

Micro, I am amazed at your idiocracy and your impatience. With these skills you should not be working on cars that you will most definitely run into snags with. Take a step back and try to solve the problem before you run crying to folks on the Internet and don't break your car it's not it's fault

    2 cents... Continue

Edit: and stop playing the MS card, sucks you have it but seriously...
