Couldn't find a spacer/lugs locally. So I cranked the coils up and put the flakes back on.

DD duties all week so I guess it will wait until next weekend.

Spun the rears down a little, now the front looks to high.

Found that I'm already leaking from a torn boot.

    Self notch.

    And height reference up front.

View from my desk at work.

Ha yeah. What's not seen is the 50-100 other parking spaces closer to the building.

Took the hood mat out. Didn't see any reason to keep it installed. Never seen one still intact though so I saved it and set it aside.

And put some cleaner on the head, to see how easy/hard cleaning this bay up will be.

Hit this on the way to work today. Stuck under my car for like 5 blocks until there was a place to pull over. Sparks galore. MERICA!

Went to a dyno day, sadly the car was too low and the oil pan sat on the dyno , so it didn't get to run.

Crew trying to get it up there.

And a shot showing how badly I need to go lower up front.... I need a shorty pan from Terry.

Totally spaced that gasser manifolds have short bolts and long bolts. Off to the hardware store to find what I need

Still unsure what to do with the valve cover breather.

Your Jetta looks awesome! My 81 has the exact same color and interior combo and 1.6D.
I've seen about 85 max with mine. Hows the fuel economy?

Thanks man. I love the blue/silver combo.

I can hit 85 and keep going. Guessing I can hit 95 but the speedo won't go that high

As for the mileage, it depends I average like 45-50 with mixed freeway/city roads. I could see higher if I would keep it under 65 and stayed on the highway.

Just buttoned up the manifold swap.

Wow, what a difference. Sound @ Wot is incredible and it pulls much smoother.

    No pics a it's dark, but it's a 1.8 gasser intake manifold, g60 2.5 tb, and a cone filter.

Valve cover gasket was bad, leaking everywhere. So I replaced it today.

Then I cleaned up the engine bay. Major difference.

Also put the diesel intake manifold back on. As the gasser doesn't have a port for the VC breather.
