They don't look that bad... But im looking through my phone. Do they arch with the car? Or are they flat/straight.

They are flat right now. But I'm hitting up the shop with the roller come Monday.

4inch. Have some 3 and 3.5 on the way so I can fine tune what I want.

Rolling them to shape is cheap, just need to figure out what to do for end caps.

And if it doesn't work out I can always go with a set of rabbit bumps.

lost my brakes on the way home today, had to push super hard on the pedal to stop..

figured vacuum pump diaphragm was toast, or had the possibility of a stuck check valve.

i ripped it apart to find the diaphragm torn, and cant find any local sources. ordered online and it will take 3 days to get here

My progress today. Gave up on custom bumps. As they looked like ****.

These need tons of work. But they will work.

Got some 15mm spacers to fix the spacing of that one odd front wheel.

Fixed my vacuum pump, damn diaphragm tears. Got the full rebuild done; should be good for another 50k or so.

I have a stock rear jetta bumper, its yours if you want to pay for shipping.

how much did you get the spoiler for? ive been looking for one, not as much lately as the jetta project is sidelined until the rabbit is done.

id throw the stock flares back on, it will cover up the wheels nicely

    Yeah. Shipping wont be cheap

And this was a NOS Happich unit that I ordered in from Germany. I paid close to $400 all said and done.

And I'm undecided on full flares or just running 1/4s out back. I'll be testing both ways once I have the bumpers figured out.

Just went for a spin around the block. And wow. The vac pump rebuild made an amazing difference.

Don't think my brakes have ever worked so well

Also, completed a 1000 mile road trip to Vegas and back. Averaged around 80mph going up and down thousands of feet of elevation. No issues whatsoever, funny seeing mk3s and 4s break down and stranded around me and I averaged around 55mpg!!

01, this might sound kinda gay but driving down to wuste with and parking a few spots down from your car got me obsessed with mk1s. I really want one now. Now I have to deal with waiting till I'm done with school to pick one up.
