Well parts have arrived:
New headlights came in today [Sooooo much brighter then the OEM HIDs]

The 6262 also came in today although I wont have it in my hand until the weekend.


The biggest thing is my beater Taurus started burning coolant real bad so I "fixed" it by cleaning it a bit and trading it in for a 2012 Jetta. I like it so far but its definitely going to slow down building the Golf a bit as I put $$ down I had set aside for the turbo build to get it, hopefully it will still be ready for SoWo but if not you will see me in the jetta. My Mk4 neighbors mk5 and my mk6.



There are a bunch more parts not pictured because I am lazy like stage 4 clutch kit, shifter fork, waste gate, exhaust mani, intake mani, fuel rail, injectors, fuel pump, mounts. Oh and the tranny is done having the diff put in thanks to Tum Tum (for the few who know who that is).
Basically all thats left is the air to water, tune, exhaust, guages/boost controller and a couple odds and ends. Once Joe's shop slows down a bit we will start with the mild shave. Probably consider it more of a clean up and respray of the bay more than anything else.

I am getting excited that my parts list is getting smaller and smaller, I am ready to stop forking out money and start actually doing some work soon. Hopefully this build thread will pick up dramatically over the next couple weeks. I really wish I had a place to work on it as I would have it completely torn apart by now but I think if I did that half the crap would get stolen or the car would get towed out of the apartment lot.

I basically have all the parts, hopefully we will spend a weekend and get the bay all done then the following weekend we might be able to get the motor in as I have all the parts to do that

Thanks. I would still rather have no car payment but gotta sell them when they are still worth something. Pretty sure coolant was getting into the head, but thats the dealers problem now. All in all only lost about $300 from my original purchase price vs what the trade in value was so at least thats a plus.

Its the lowest base model they had on the lot. Only option is a sunroof manual transmission although admittedly I think I should have gotten that Auto trans, but too late now.
