As for HP goals, there really aren't any numbers I'm thinking of or hoping for. All I would like is to get the tune finished up and go hurt some feelings once it's running.

3S GTE? Built one of those for a customer years ago. Pretty mild build, made 320 @ the wheels on Dyno Dynamics rollers.

For the Optima, contact this guy from eBay http://myworld.ebay.com/rustcity/?_trksid=p4340.l2559. Email is probably the best way. I called him and we ended up talking for an hour about batteries; needless to say the guy knows his stuff. All his batteries are NOS, he tests them/charges them, and if they are good he sells them for damn good prices.

OEM skirts, complete set minus the adhesive stick on piece that the skirts clip to (which was still good), about $400.

I spent weeks looking for some that were halfway decent, and always came up short. Finally just bit the bullet and bought them new.

It's honestly a great deal for skirts. You get every rivot and screw and you have the cleanest OEM skirts around because many fear to go to the dealer. I bought a new set 5 years ago that I wish I still had.

For the record. This is the very route I've been wanting to go with my car since day one but obnoxious amounts of work and overtime leave me just enough time to barely enjoy time with friends and family that I dont see that often. I've bought and sold numerous manifolds and turbos that were supposed to be for my car. I always end up selling my parts to more motivated people than myself.(For more money of course)

It's funny. I've never seen the OP post before and this thread has really got me itching to tear into my car.

Correct. Each piece isn't that expensive ($50-70 for example), but when you do EVERYTHING, both sides, front and back, it all adds up.

Here are a couple links to some past projects that I have pretty extensive photos of. I've updated them to have most of the photos in the first post. I reorganized the pics in my photobucket albums and the links all changed long ago.

Mk2 Golf VR6 build. I daily drove this car for 20K with practically no issues. The guy who bought it is in Texas last I heard still driving it. Loved that stupid side exhaust.

A 2.9L VR6 I built. It was for my mk2 Golf VR6 that I almost turned into a project car like my current build, but I sold it and it ended up in this car

Don't know about the song. Motor was barely broken in when filmed; when you hear him drive, you can hear him short shift. Can't wait for dyno time; might need to build another one

Thats his charge pipe, but you can easily make a similar design for a cold air with some piping in 3" in various angles. Ebay is awesome for this

Correct, it is the charge pipe. Made from stainless as far as I can tell, it is the ATP manufactured charge plumbimg.
