"The light represents a station wagon based on the XF to orange, "said Adrian Hallmark CEO, Jaguar is against us at the IAA in September. The knot has been severed, spyshots prove it: the car. The last doubts be cleared by the advertising text on the side of the Sport Brake: it's Jaguar now serious.

Of course we do under the hood to expect no surprises. There is probably a 2.2-liter four-cylinder base diesel good for 200 hp. Anyone who wants more power, go for the 3.0 V6 diesel with 240 hp or 275. In gasoline engines, there is at least the 5.0 V8 with 385 hp. It is not yet clear whether there is an XFR Sport Brake.

Eventually Jaguar is downsizing: an entry-level gasoline, we expect two liters four-cylinder with more than 200 hp 5.0 V8 and atmospheric place would make for a supercharged 3.0 V6. Who was already in the C-X16 Concept and the car was good, what happened to-385 horsepower.
The fact that Jaguar already started a twitter campaign, indicates that the disclosure not be too long to wait. An unveiling at the NAIAS in Detroit (early January) is an option, but it is also possible that Jaguar's first award at the lake station wagon-loving Europe. That would be a showdown at the Geneva Motor Show in March mean. A spokesman for Jaguar is about the jaws still tightly.

What I really want to see is a shooting brake, not a "Sportbrake".

I usually don't like wagons but these ultra-luxury wagons like the Panemera and now XF are really nice.

Its cool and all, but what sales will it generate?

Surely putting more resources into an SUV would be a bigger profit generator. I know the XF is an existing platform/model and r&d costs are minimal, but what percentage of sales are wagons/sedans in this segment? 20/80?

I am putting my hand up for an XF-R SportBrake though
He who dies with the most toys wins..........I'm losing, but having fun keeping up

similar is subjective. a bj from a chick and a bj from a dude are also similar

I think Jaguar has the ability to be a huge player in the luxury game with BMW/Mercedes/Audi...I don't know all the details but I barely see any commercials or any type of advertising here. Not sure what it's like in the states.

Having a wagon probably won't help them much in sales over in NA so I agree with the SUV/CUV comment...adding in AWD options on most of their lineup will also help...hybrids too.

They already got the looks down(inside & out).

Im a fan of the XF and wagons but for some reason, that just doesnt look that good. The front is so pointy and aero that the rear just doesnt look right. It could be all the squiggly lines and the transformerish pop out tail lamps but its not stunning like the sedan. Case of sedan =/= wagon?

Unless they start offering AWD, 6 cylinder engines, and improve reliability, there is no way they can compete in the North American market.

And on the topic of the wagons, there's a reason why Audi and BMW aren't bringing the 5 and A6 wagons back, no one buys them. Jag needs to invest in a SUV asap. An Evoque-based crossover would do wonders for the Jag brand.

Yeah, it doesn't look right for some reason. Almost as if it was only designed as a sedan and not a wagon.

I have to agree. The XF is my favorite sedan in its segment, but this... ehh... just doesn't seem right.

It will help greatly in Europe where they actually buy wagons. Here...it won't do much. It doesn't look all that good anyways.

      Agreed. Something is definitely off.

@SportBrake is simply genius advertising. Too bad the rest of Jaguar's advertising doesn't seem to be as innovative or existing.

      Do want.

With Jaguar depreciation this should be a great deal in 3-5 years.

Gotta question why so late in the model cycle. The XF has already been out for 3 1/2 years and has received a midlife refresh. I hope this isn't a sign that Jaguar plans on offering Volvoesque life cycles like the XK is currently on.

What's wrong with long model cycles ? I mean, this isn't Hyundai we're talking about here.

I bet it outsells the last Jaguar station wagon!

Of course, they'd only have to sell six or eight of the new ones...

I love wagons, have had many over the years, but they don't have the appeal they once used to. Who'd buy this? The same demographic that would buy the last one? That's just a handful of people.

Well when the competition is on a 6 year cycle, an 8-9 year cycle hardly seems competitive.

Saab might have a few words to say about that
