This looks like an awesome kit. But I have to ask, is there anybody out there autocrossing their MKVI 2.5? I can't imagine you would ever need an aftermarket oil cooler daily driving.

I am not being a jerk, but would you please explain to the guys out there why you would need this?

This really is not something you would need for a daily drier that never gets driven hard. What it is made for is guys that like to push their cars. Like fast backcountry driving, autocross, summer drag racing, going to track days, long summer road trips, forced induction guys, etc.

So how exactly does this work? Where does it/would it mount?

Sorry for all the questions. Is there a chance you have instructions on mounting or can point us to a thread on doing so?

    Thanks!

Basically this kit removes the small factory cooler and the plate boltes to where the cooler was mounted on the front of the oil filter housing and then the lines run towards the front to where the cooler/radiator mounts in front of your radiator and ac condenser. Instructions will be coming soon and we will post them on our website however installation is fairly simple and we can also walk anyone through the install.

AWESOME!!! Living in South Florida I can say that an external oil cooler is beneficial if you are performance minded. I noticed a difference in power with my 98 VR6 during the summer heat. Glad to see someone produced one so quickly.

Once I get my tax refund I am picking up one of these along with an oil catch can.

    Sounds good!
