    WTH????

Spoke with paul on Friday and placed order. Just checked it and it's cancelled with every item (ordered springs, the replacement bolts/washers, and the chrome trim for my fog grills) is marked as 'unavailable'!!!!

The best (and quickest) way to get any info on stock and current orders is to just give Keffer VW's parts department a call. That's what I did and they were able to give me an ETA on backordered parts. Nice guys too.

We do not have any more 5K4-071-677-A SPRINGS. They are on back order. I'm sorry but we dont currently have an accurate ETA, but I am working on getting one. I appreciate everyones patience through this supply shortage.

Back ordered again? Glad I got a set when I did. The only reason I suggested calling is because I was given an accurate ETA when I called, looks like I got lucky with that though. Thanks again for the awesome service Paul/Keffer.

Big thumbs up to Keffer and PAUL. The issue noted before (which was an error) was rectified IMMEDIATELY and Paul was super helpful.

Question: Do I need the miscellaneous parts if my car is still fairly new? Just don't want to have to spend roughly $150 on the extra parts (like the strut bearings).

I'm trying to order DG springs today through the site. Two questions.

    1) I have a 4-door manual TDI. When I put in the correct PN via the link at the outset of this thread, the part title says 4-door auto. Is this ok?

    2) I'm trying to order all of the "normal" parts too. But almost all of these parts have a L/R distinction. Is this distinction meaningful? Or can I just plug in each PN and hit quantity=2? Parts listed below...

N-106-107-02--- quantity required 2--- Bolt(low rear shocks to control arm)
WHT-002-795--- quantity required 2--- Outer axle bolt
N-909-548-02--- quantity required 2--- Pinch bolt(holding strut in knuckle)
N-910-216-01--- quantity required 2--- Nut (for upper strut mount)
    6N0-412-249-C--quantity required 2--- Strut Bearings
    1K0-412-331-B--quantity required 2--- Strut Bushings

    Thanks,

    tristeza

the 5K4-071-677-A are the springs you need, they may say auto because they are the same spring for the 2.5L auto and manual springs,

and just put the quantity as 2 for all those bolts and bearing, and you will be fine, they are for both sides

Anyone have a before and after on a 4dr GTi (preferably a DSG)? Thoughts on ride quality? I want to go a tad lower without making the ride any more firm.

Some hardware is considered one time use items, so hardware needs would be based on what was dis assembled to install. You should not need strut bearings.

You will gain about 1/2" additional drop. With the DG springs, I have not noticed any difference in straight line driving. Maybe a little tighter in the corner.

Would you be able to tell me if I would be able to install the VW Driver Gear springs on a 2012 TDI Jetta by any chance?

    Good evening,

Do you know why about springs VW 5K4071677 ==> (http: // keffervwparts.com / vwparts/? SearchText=5K4071677B*action=searchAllC atalogs*siteid=216177), it is specified " Not for vehicles equipped with factory lowered sport suspension "

Who changes between a classic model and a GTI ?

    And why VW specifies it?

    Thank you

GTI models came with a lowered ride height from the factory. My guess is VW never tested the springs on a GTI because it comes with the 1/2 lower ride height. MAny people install these on the GTI.

My car with 2dr manual DG springs, happy with the drop. Seeing as we just got 15inches of snow on the first day of spring, a little wheel gap is nice to have.
