My wife never used one. I'm not even sure what one is..???

  3. 11-27-2011 03:02 AM #3
My fiancee used one for a few months. From around 5 to 8 months, then she said it started getting itchy and bothering her, much like everything else during that time.

This is the one I bought her and we still have it laying around if you want to get it cheap and don't mind the used part.

I never used a pregnancy pillow, but I did use a regular body pillow, i couldn't have slept w/o it in the later months

If you are talking about one of those long body pillows, then yeah, my wife loved it. I don't know of brnads or anything, just whatever bed bath and beyond carried.

My wife had several, all ended up being hated and loved at different points. The only one I could recommend is called a "bobby", but there are a bunch of different brands that do the same thing. My wife used that after the pregnancy for the little one, made feeding time less tiring, and sometimes it was a good pillow for the baby to nap on the couch in. Basically a "C" shape.

I would check with her friends so that you don't double up on something they are getting her, if they are or if she is having some sort of baby shower.

Oh, if you are talking about a boppy, then yeah, it is the best thing going. Anybody that used ours went out and bought one. In fact, my daughter is sleeping in hers on the couch right now.

+1 on the Boppy, but that is more for the baby and after birth feedings.

Christ. That place is man-hell. Even the two man-boy Marines that were in there last week at the toys for tots station looked like they were beginning to be affected by the high doses of estrogen being shot at them by new moms, pregnant women, and friends of pregnant women who are hormonal as hell.

We had the large u-shaped pillow (3-4' long) during my wife's first pregnancy--she worshipped the thing.

We got a 4" memory foam pad for the bed prior to her second pregnancy and she had no need for the pillow.

Oh stop acting so cool, you know you loved determining the different nipple shapes and types of bottles you would be using.

That new big box store just opened here locally. I haven't been in one, since I have no need to anymore. Friends have said it's a nicer babies r us... a little more upscale.

I've been dragged to one. This shoe fits.

Too far away to justify going there - as I try to justify NOT going to BRU in the first place.

We know you don't like going there. We got it. BoBBeh!

I'm not aware of how this is different from non-pregnant women.

When they are pregnant, they also steal the covers and then kick them off the bed because they get too hot.
