And most importantly, I dont want to install it, and have something crazy happen with the unit and have it end up cooking some sort of expensive electrical part on the car. I am confedent with my wiring, just not so much with the unit itself.

I found this and want to give it a try. Just curious if people have had good luck with them with TSI's and if they are even available for TSI's??

Any you have not heard anything about the boxes trashing other components on the car?

Branman...does the "intentional misfire" give you a cel?....i want one just for the no lift shift really, it would be nice to hold boost between shifts, especially when i get my k04 in the spring

yeah i wouldn't get one without the dual function...i would just use the no lift **** more than the launch control

I read that it will only throw a cel if you are on 2step for extended periods of time. Really, you should only need it for a like 5 seconds at the most anyways.

Another question is, my car is an 09 mkv with a TSI. would the wiring for the box be different form the MKV and/or the MKVI instructions?

While using the launch control it will give you a CEL. I mainly use the no lift shift which works amazing and doesn't throw a code.
Im pretty sure you can upgrade it from n2mb but I'm not 100% on that.
Not many people run them but like I said flawlessly on 3 cars that I have owned. If you know how to solder and a little about wiring your set.
Yeah thats pretty much my thought when I got mine.
It will throw a CEL pretty quickly. Sometimes faster than others but don't think if you keep doing for 2-3 seconds you will never flag a fault.

I think I found the right harness, following the MKV instructions, atleast from what I can tell.
In my pic, you can see a big red (next to the 2 browns) and bellow (next to the green), is the purple/grey wire. I assume Those are the two in that harness that I needed to find.

Anyone have any input for me? plan to order one tomarrow night.

Those were the 2 correct wires (described in the post with the pic) that I would be working with in that particular harness right? Everything else is pretty clear to me.
Sorry about being a pain in the ass, just wanna be sure that I dont **** anything up.

The wotbox only works with a manual trans. You will not be able to use the launch control (set past 4k) if the hard rev is active at 4k like factory. You can set it at 3k and it will work just fine. When I was stage 2 I could turn off ESP and I could rev past 4k. Im not sure if thats the same still.
