I think I remember reading about your rescue. Great stuff!!! Great pics from both of you![]()
I finally got tagged yesterdayRight in the soft spot of my index finger. I guess it was my fault. I fed Weds around 4pm and yesterday morning at 8am I was putting branches back in the Argentines cage, she knew it was me but still must've been in "feeding/protection mode". Honestly it didn't hurt, it surprised me more than anything. Bleed quite a bit lol. Hopefully she hasn't acquired "a taste"
I always, in a weird way, wanted to get bit just so I knew how it felt so maybe I could handle the snakes more confidently...
Stillher though

Baby time!
I have hatched 14 babiy ball pythons in the last week! I did pretty well on the odds on my bumblebee x normal clutch with 4 bees, 2 pastels, 1 spider, and two normals.
I did "ok" with my pinstripe het albino x albino clutch with 3 albinos and two pinstripe het albinos. I was kind of bummed that I didn't hit on the albino pinstripes.

And apparently a first according to what they're saying
So what type of enclosures does everyone use? I'm in glass type now, but saving my moneyz for I think an Animal Plastic enclosure (PVC) I like their sliding doors vs. Boaphile or others who have the hinged fronts.

I seen that on on BLBC. I love how dark it is!
I have a variety of enclosures. The ball pythons breeding group are all kept in the rack/tub style. I love the rack system for the breeders. They are very consistant on humidity and temps. Cleaning is also easy, especially with spare tubs.
I use glass 40 gallon breeder tanks for my "pet" ball python and my bearded dragon. It is perfect for the beardie, but initially had temp/humidity issues for the bp. They are dialed in now.
I also use a what I believe is a Monster Cage for my tree frog. I bought it used and there is no name on it... It's a two foot cube and 1/4" plastic so it is super light. the hinged door is both nice and annoying at the same time. It is nice for simple tasks like feeding/misting, but annoys the hell out of me while cleaning. It always seems to be in the way!!
I can't imagine the sliding doors work well for bug eaters though. I can picture the crickets escaping easily...???

I have my ball pythons in tubs, but I'm currently having problems heating the rack. I got mine from Animal Plastics, and to be honest, turn around time was absolutely horrible, but the quality is great, and you really have to pay attention to what the recommended tub size is. I'm definitely saving up for pvc cages for my showcase ball pythons and the breeders in the tubs.

I'm really hoping to look into maybe making my own enclosures combining both pvc, and a wood to give it a more appealing look and have them around my desk.

So I bought a telescope goldfish a week and three days ago. Get home today from work and he's fine swimming around and then a few hours later I went to feed him and he's dead -_-I paid 35 bucks for this fish and he's dead already. Called the pet store and the said if he had died within 4 days they would give me a new one
Oh well farewell Suede
Suede was his name because he looked like black suede lol
Anyone recommend any other type of fish. Fyi I have a 10 gallon talk so nothing that's going to out grow it. Tia
Also sorry I'm sure I shouldn't be posting this hear but was just wondering if anyone had any ideas

I use a glass tank..I just always think that he gets bored in that same rectangle but I never really know for sure lol I love the size he is now and I don't want him to get much bigger but I really would like to get him a tall cage where he can have a tree branch and some other things to be curious about

Thanks for the tip on PVC Cages, they have exactly what I'm looking for as well. I hear ya on AP, I've heard other people say the same thing. They'll be at the Tinley NARBC show and I'm hoping they'll bring some floor models that I can pick up for a good price. It's hard to wait but this will be the last cage I get for my Argentine (hopefully she doesn't get too big).

Yeah my first Red Tail passed and I never got her tested post, but all the signs were IBDBy the time I knew what IBD was and determined she was showing signs and had a vet appointment set up I Woke up the next day and she was stuck in the position of biting herself and gone. It was heartbreaking to know how much she suffered. RIP Daria.
