Here is why I ask. Back in 2005 there was the very first GLGTG, and it was at the isle. We started off eating lunch at Sara's and then headed up to take photos. At the time I had an '04 R32, JTI'd and smoothed, and we took this photo there.



At this time I am trying to make another similar event, but since I am coming from Cleveland, I'd like to get some help from the Erie guys. I'd like to see if people are available the first or second Sunday in June for a GTG at the Presque Isle park again like 7-years ago. Same thing, start off at Sara's and then roll into the park to hang out and just BS, take photos, etc.

I've got a new ride these days (LINK), and want to take a surfboard I have laying around with the car and get some "beach" shots with a friend who has some nice camera equipment. Trying to find the same spot, basically, as either my photo or the same spot the blue R32 is above.

My wife/kid/I plan to maybe swing out this coming Saturday to the beach to scout out some good areas there.... if anyone from the area has any help/suggestions that'd be great. If we could mobilize the Erie, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Cleveland folks -- the more the merrier. I don't care how many cars show up, but if we get a dozen or more cars, that'd rock!! Who is in?!

Coming back from SOWO?? maybe.They definitley had more fun than I did.

I was with a mkv .:R and 2 mkv GTIs and we ran across a mkiii golf with a 12 valve swap and 2 mkiv TDI Jettas from Ontario in the hills of Virgina...needless to say we had some fun

All in all, about an 11 hour ride home...not too bad, worked out to avg mph of 71/72 roughly

SoWo was a freaking blast, best show I've ever been to. If you've never been, you really need to go, it's that awesome
