Last week I saw a Rising Blue R on FM 620 in Austin/Lakeway area... My girlfriend was taking me to the airport.

My father refuses to sit in the front seat (that he leaves and insists goes to my mom).

Clearly everyone has different viewpoints/agenda's.

To me the "sacrilege" would be to get one of those "sheet tons of sedans and wagons out there"

I already have 7 impractical vehicles (which includes the truck/car hauler to tracks)

I refuse to own a mini-van, station wagon, Sport Ute or SUV for my own personal reasons (same reason I refuse to own boring 4 door sedan like a Camry)

Why would you care if I prefer the 4 door R anyway? Different strokes for different folks!

Spotted a blue 2 door parked on beacon at in boston

Spotted a CW Golf R on Sheridan Rd just past Loyola Chicago. I was in the CW MKV .:R32, we passed a blue MKIV with a boser hood and green wheels. The whole R family at once, it was pretty cool.

i got a 2 door, because i wanted 2. no kids, no wife, no dogs. and don't see them happening anytime in the immediate future. i prefer the looks.

that being said, i think it's great you guys can get 4 doors if you want them

Today 3/30/12 I saw nice Rising blue metallic R at 7100 Fairfax county pkwy heading to north(around Burke) Nothern Va .
looks really good!

My first sighting!
As I traveled North on 9A through Ossining, I noticed you entering Northbound 9A from Hawkes Ave, but didn't realize you were a Golf R. I was behind a slow truck just before merging onto 9 when I saw you coming down the hill in my mirror. I moved to the center lane and slowed down so I could get a good look at you. I honked as you went by, we both exited at the Rt129 exit, you stayed straight on 129 and I turned right onto Riverside.

Just saw a csg r in boulder on flatirons pkwy. I was in the blue one with white wheels

Saturday afternoon on Cinco de Mayo on the Mass Pike, I saw a gray R. First one I have seen on the road in the US! I was in a Guards red 911 Cabriolet. I we exchanged thumbs up, and I plastered my Golf R brochure onto my window as I passed you. You definitely saw it and gave me an even bigger thumbs up. What were the chances that I passed you and had a brochure on my front passenger seat? I'm ordering one BTW. It's been on the boat for two weeks and should be here soon! It's going to be my new daily driver to replace my MkIII Jetta, which is going into semi-retirement.

I finally saw one on the street a few days ago on 92nd Ave near Flagler. I can't believe it's taken me this long to spot one in Miami. Not sure if he/she saw me.

Just did a coast to coast round trip, 6800 miles... not in the R, too new. Anyhoo, in all that time only saw two. The first was a loaded CW 4DR sitting in the parking lot of Palo Alto McClaren. The second was an RB 2DR with gun metal wheels on RT40 in Albuquerque, NM last Friday evening.
